Cohn on Radnich' KNBR: Daggers delight in Ten Minutes

Lowell Cohn, blogger supreme for the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat on Gary Radnich' KNBR Tuesday show. Ten minutes of concise, spot-on, instantaneous analysis.

Cohn on....

Mike Singletary: "He's a lousy coach. A good man with character, but a horrible coach."

Jed York: "A young kid that made a lousy coaching hire. He needs to get outta the way and hire someone, maybe Mike Holmgren, (if he leaves Cleveland) or Jon Gruden."

Brett Favre: "I wish he'd just go away. 'I don't ever want to see, hear, or talk about (Brett Favre) again."

The A's and their pursuit of San Jose: "The A's will be in San Jose when I'm 6 foot 9."

Add Radnich: This is Gary's Mona Lisa. He should concentrate on more interviews and less "Bob from Livermore's. Keep in mind that we've always been an admirer of Radnich' keen ability to do a quality, meaningful, funny and informative interview and it helps when a guy like Cohn, who knows how to spout it, says so.

Cohn and Radnich' ten-minute virtuoso was a welcome audio ballet.

For a change.

  1. When Jed had that big toothy grin on MNF when the 49ers were beating Arizona?..no,they need maturity upstairs.
On the field, they need a smart up to date thinker.

  2. I absolutely love Lowell Cohn...He sees it like it is, and tells it like it is, especially when it comes to the 49ers.

When all the other Sports Anchors, and Bloggers are "boot licking" the 49er/Yorks crumbling empire you can count on Lowell to call the Yorks out on their ineptitude...

  3. Every time I hear Cohn on the radio....

A). He's complaining about how he was mistreated somewhere. And...

B.) He evokes the name of Bill Walsh.

  4. Cohn is on target on everything; especially Singletary. The Rams need to put the 49ersx out of their misery, so the 49ers can get a new coach.

As for Radnich, if he does more interviews, it gives him less time to do his daily comedy show, using his producers and callers as props for his impression of Ernie Borgnine imitating Don Rickles, and badgering Bruno to be funny everytime he opens his mouth. But Gary should do more interviews...

  5. All they need to do to make Radnich more listenable is take away the microphones from Dan Dibley and his producer and let Radnich go at it with the listeners. Much more entertaining. It's tiresome to hear Radnich say something and Dibley automatically disagree so they can have a fake argument. I guess it was funny the first 1,485 shows. Now it just makes me turn off the radio.

  6. Radnitch is a total phony and you seem to suggest he's the reincarnation of Edward R. Murrow; Please!!!

Exactly. I've seen the cameras catch him twice now, and both times when he noticed he was on TV, it looked like he was going to pee himself with glee. I'm so glad he's so pleased with himself. ...And that's your San Francisco 49er front office, folks.

  8. Radnich is seldom worth listening to. He is far too into his attempts at humor with his underlings and with Tony Bruno. He is also too hooked on being clever about rock music. I get so little value, regarding sports, that I seldom tune in his program any longer.

Regard Jed York, and his toothy grin on MNF. Heres a Young Dude whose parents just put him in charge to be the *face of the Franchise,* and you'd think the way he sits there grinning that he is the one responsible for building the 49ers into 5 time Super Bowl Champs...Not!

Its all about EGO with this young dude, Jed, and the York Family...And Nothing else.
