The April Arbitron trends are out; again we must point out that these "overall" ratings are more of a beauty contest and the advertising people only pay attention to the A25-54 demos.
No doubt, KCBS is a happy camper today.
Here are the April numbers:
KNBR should be on their knees at the mention of the name of-Tim Lincecum. As we saw before-without baseball, fans have no interest in the station. Thereby proving that a monkey could be GM at KNBR and get the same spring and summer seasonal ratings.
ReplyDeleteI heard Steinmetz talking about how KNBR has so much deadwood. Sure,he was joking.Sure.
Yeah, I knew they would have an up in April b/c of Giants baseball--it was expected.
ReplyDeleteOf course they'll brag that that's still they're "content", but we know better.
I hope Rich can expand on what I heard today that 860 has tripled their ratings this year. I forgot the name of the host (Tiddle?) , but was pleased to know that in a short time, KNBR has competition. I am curious to read about this triple boost is reshaping our radio ways.
ReplyDeleteI am not from the East Bay, but this San Jose man thinks Bay Area sports radio must be inclusive and not bash the A's and Raiders. Nor their fans.
KNBR has no competition, 860 not even in the top 30, get real Rich...
ReplyDeleteHey "Anon": Don't work for KTRB, so you should "get real."
