Read this lovely little quote from Tony LaRussa, current St. Louis Cards Mgr. that coached Mark McGwire during his steroids era. McGwire admitted Monday that he used PED's for nearly ten years.
In an interview with ESPN's "Baseball Tonight," La Russa said he didn't know McGwire had used steroids until the slugger admitted so.
Oh, Tony, really, gag me with a spoon! I'm sure YOU naming McGwire as your hitting coach is just a coincidence. I'm sure it also has nothing to do with McGwire's Hall of Fame status. LIAR!
"I'm really encouraged that he would step forward," La Russa told ESPN. "As we go along his explanations will be well received." Sure Tone, and here we were thinking you only cared about cats and dogs.
