Janice Huff is an almost 20-year weather meteorologist forecasting on NY's WNBC. Huff, it's been reported by Newsblues, (paywall), might be on her way out at the NBC outlet.From News Blues: "Early Retirement" is what it's being called, but it really isn't. Her contract simply isn't being renewed." She, (Huff), isn't alone.
Huff, you may recall, was at KRON in the late 80's and early 90's where she built up a friendship with sports anchor, Gary Radnich.
Huff isn't saying anything for now. Her situation isn't all that different from other veteran, well-paid TV anchors, weather and sports reporters being shown the door by cost-conscious broadcasting companies that are increasingly doing away with big names.
