  2. KCBS’s decline is nothing compared to KTVU’s. Case in point: This morning on Mornings on 2, Frank Mallicoat repeatedly read a story claiming there have been 59 Super Bowls and that this Sunday is Super Bowl 60. Seriously? They’re the network hosting Super Bowl 59—how do they not get the most basic facts right?

To make it even more embarrassing, Super Bowl 60 is set to be hosted by the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium. But apparently, no one at KTVU got that memo either.

    1. @ 8:48 It's not Frank's fault, blame it on the writers and editors not checking it, writers DEI hires?

    3. So...Under Trump II we're going to blame every fuck-up on DEI? Is that how it's gonna go?

    4. 8:48, you're right, it's definitely not Frank's fault. He's just the dope who was assigned to do the read. Completely incompetent and inept script writing and editing.

    5. During the start of the bad weather recently, I recall Gasia on MO2 reading script about the closed Highway 5 at the Grapevine with a live picture of the last runaway Truck ramp near the bottom before the Central Valley. Her script read incorrectly that ramp was facing the other direction going “south”. Then she says travelers should take another highway that goes from the Central Valley I believe south above Palmdale and the other option given was Hwy 1. I guess the dumb KTVU writers never heard of Highway 101 and certainly not needing to go along the Coast Hwy 1 from the Bay Area all the way down which may still be closed at Malibu.

    6. @ 3:46 In retrospect yes, being hired and promoted due the color of your skin is total BS; remember the Alan Bakke case? He was more than qualified to enter UC Davis but was passed over for person(s) of color with less qualifications, key word: Qualified

  3. The FAKE news station.
This weekend....Atmospheric River with flooding, downed trees, power outages, sandbags, lightning, tornado, etc.
Reality .....mist & light rain. 🤔
    Is that a facebook forecast?
The only atmospheric river is the yellow water in the KCBS toilet bowl.

  4. I used to listen to In Depth. Now I stream KNX weekend mornings. Ms. Hughes has taken over late nights during the week from Guiness. Now I stream KNX late at night too. Does KCBS management have any idea?

  5. Maybe some of these anchors should have to listen to them selves for 5 or 6 hours to hear how bad they really are. It's criminal how bad KCBS has gone off the rails.

  6. Bring back Larry Chiaroni, Frank Knight, Steve Little, Annette Parks ... seems like yesterday, but now so long ago ...

  7. Knight and Parks have passed away; Chiaroni retired and wants nothing to do with the place.

  8. I understand. I was just referring to older, better days in KCBS history for those who remember. One could even learn clever pun-filled legal bits during Looking at the Law with Neil Chayet. I apologize for conspicuously reminiscing. More another time.

  9. And I think Steve Little moved away from the Bay Area.

  10. Hey Rich
Now do a report on Brett Burkhart doxing the Ice agents location in San jose live on the air. Sounds like a big story to me. I will wait four your exclusive.

  11. I only listen to KCBS to find out about the traffic. When that comes on, I listen then turn them off. They have nothing but fake news and negative news. When it is hot, they talk about fires and climate change. When it rains, the talk about mudslides and climate change. When it is windy, they talk about downed trees and climate change. A college station could do a better, and more, interesting job. Man, do I miss Bloomberg 960. What a wasteland.

    1. @ 6:17 *(*^%%**(!!!%^*KCBS! On 2/4/25 about 5 pm I was stuck on Park Presidio Southbound due to Crossover Drive shut down due to fallen trees; had KCBS reported that fact on the 8"s I would've taken another route, not a f*cking mention of it and no recommendations on how to traverse the backup, go to h*ll KCBS
