This is hilarious! I have always thought his real name is Larry Mitchell and the foodie guy is a big act. Funny how in one breath he's promoting a fancy restaurant and in the next breath he's promoting weight watchers, The one thing he's good it getting work since he's been on media for years.
Thanks to 1005am poster above. I remember Joe Carcione being at an outdoor event on the Peninsula in the early 80's encouraging people to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. It seems so quaint, nostalgic, and yet timely and relevant today. Imagine if Bay Area Media could educate, inform, and entertain. They used to, they still could, and they'd still make some money. Just ... imagine.
We still have these bizarre Jannelle Marie / Suzanne Rocha sell your homes thru' me adverts going on with the same 80's music. And the furniture warehouse guy who was always having a liquidation 'everything must go' this weekend sale.... Cant beat local TV - cant make this stuff up.
Ah, yes… the bobbleheaded Jannelle Marie. Notice how the camera person now cuts her out of the shot when the advertiser is talking. Her incessant head bobbing up and down is unbelievably distracting and annoying.
I’m a fan of accents, but his patronizing presentation is a total turn-off. He calls himself the foodie chap, but I’ve never heard or seen any food related content that isn’t a paid endorsement. There’s no good will to leverage as far as I can tell, so I immediately ignore anything he’s pitching. I can’t be the only one.
And you really think this was funny? He eats better than your frozen dinners!
ReplyDeleteNot only that.
ReplyDeleteBring back the hat lady! Jan Wahl
Bring back the green grocer! Joe Carchioni
All we have is a foodie chap 💂
A British foodie is an oxymoron.
ReplyDeleteLMAO
