I like Zoe, she is a Midwestern native from Chicago like Paul (from Minneapolis), except she has far more personality as good as Darren. She is the MAIN weekend morning weather anchor & a secondary meteorologist on Mondays, Tuesdays and interchangably Wednesdays and it gets handed to Darren from Wednesday night through the rest of the week. (4:30, 8-10pm) and they can take turns filling in for Paul predictably if needed - If Paul is off like yesterday and Christmas week the 9pm is a repeat weather cast of 8pm.
The only time I have NOT seen her on a weekend morning is if she is filling in for Darren on a weekend evening (Brian Hackney looks to have been eliminated from his weather role). I know this because Brian no longer fills in for Darren or anybody with the move to 3D weather. Brian has weather company (Zoe or Darren) and his interactions have been pretty positive with them while acknowledging his role with weather is done (i.e “used to do for a living”, “you know I used to do the weather for my entire career”), etc.
Thank you for covering Zoe & endorsing her. Very valid points! Now about Paul Heggen, he should cut with the jeans and if you wear a colored suit jacket, pants have to match even on a Friday (Darren stopped wearing a tie for months but he still knows how to dress for TV). And Paul should not have a real “sad face” in these situations (it should be a balance).
Zoe has potential and from the months I have seen KPIX doing virtual weather she has effectively replaced Brian’s role and a go to secondary meteorologist. Problem is they are treating her like Darren - all over the place. However, this is where a 5th meteorologist may be needed. Fill in for Jessica in the morning, take turns with Darren. But finally glad they are not letting Darren work a major stretch like the past. Zoe Mintz has potential and knowledge too.
Rich, Would it be possible to do a curious inquiry that Brian’s weather role is eliminated as of I think July 2024 when Virtual weather became a staple on a daily basis at all hours on KPIX?
He’s still anchoring on weekends & providing science reports. And when he fills in as an anchor on a weekday his news is very enjoyable (seriously PIX, promote him to weekdays!)
She’s super knowledgable and she used to be a professor. Her science along with math background she explains about are good.
Remember back in August she filled in and was on the evening news on a weekend (Sat/Sun evening in mid Aug)? She showed as much interest in the meteor shower topic even after Brian shared the story. Only thing that Brian still extensively covers are earthquakes.
Zoe Mintz is a great weather presenter. She knows her stuff. When SF had the tornado warning a month ago, she was right on point. Also she’s easy on the eyes.
Zoe's infectious enthusiasm for her work, is very refreshing to see in someone so knowledgeable. Her demeanor is such, that she expresses herself in such an informative and like-able manner. This allows her audience to connect with her and seamlessly assimilate the information presented. That is the hallmark of any successful educator. Make learning interesting and fun!
No talent J shit-bag. Read her resume.

Didn't like her in the beginning but she's starting to grow on me, love Jessica Burch and Kyla Grogan
ReplyDeleteI actually like her more than Paul and Darren. At least she isn't boring to listen to.

ReplyDeleteZoe Girl get off of here it's obvious this is you.
Deleteok, Zoe
Delete11:04-Beavis-1:54-Butthead. Sorry slugs. Not Zoe.
DeleteZoe Mintz is the WORST weather reporter I've ever seen, anywhere. Cannot believe all the raves here!
ReplyDelete8:27. Your meteorological report is on what channel and at what time?
DeleteShe has a wacky smile and wild eyes, but otherwise she is better than Burch tenfold.
