Thank you for the open discussion. It’s my belief many only want the best for Ronn and are concerned those closest to him are taking advantage of his name, reputation and followers for themselves not On Ronns behalf
Thank you so much for taking the time to discuss and answer a few questions. The most vulnerable need to be protected. It does not make anyone a bad person to question the legitimacy of where the funds are actually going.
I believe 1000% that this GFM is a scam to fund laura owen's path of destruction. she has been in courts for 10+ years, ruined the lives of atleast 4 men claiming twin pregnancies with each and having only photoshopped "evidence" and now is facing criminal charges and owes 150K for her latest attempt to force a man into a relationship. The more you read, the crazier it is. I don't believe for a second this actually has anything to do with Ronn and his medical issues.
Multiple things about Ronn Owens appear to all be true at once:
1. He is a known conman grifter. 2. He has made poor financial decisions leading him to squander his money. 3. He is either directly or indirectly financially involved in lawsuits and legal entanglements involving his daughter. 4. He has astronomical medical costs that he does not have the financial capacity to pay.
Unfortunately, it's because 1-3 (which are all facts) are causing people to cast doubt on #4.
3:12PM. Please provide the facts supporting 1. and 2. above. You don’t know for sure nor have proof, do you? You said he has astronomical medical costs in 4. which counters 2. You say 3. is fact like 1. and 2.: I guess maybe so since you say directly or indirectly involved but how do you know if at all involved?
I am concerned that the SF Chronicle would publish this story and then *remove* the facts about the daughter's legal problems.
A judgment of $149,219 was entered in a Phoenix, AZ court against Laura Owens on August 16, 2024 with 180 days to pay it, or February 12, 2025. The GoFundMe launched on or about January 1, 2025, and it's classified as an "Emergency." Now, this GoFundMe didn't launch before the judgment was issued, when medical issues were already emergent, it launched with about 42 days remaining before the judgment is due. This case was referred to the Maricopa County attorney for potential criminal prosecution against Ms Owens. These are relevant facts that the Chronicle has not only omitted, but tried to hide after first publishing them.
The bottom line: For the San Francisco Chronicle to omit this from the story is outrageous. This is part of any legitimate journalist's job to publish the entire story, not just the part that his friend Aidin Vaziri, "Pop Critic for the San Francisco Chronicle" wants him to. (A thought -- is a "Pop Critic" a legitimate journalist? Maybe not. Maybe that's how the SF Chronicle justifies this to themselves.) The San Francisco Chronicle EVERY SINGLE DAY publishes stories of incomplete legal proceedings: see Nima Momeni trial for the murder of Bob Lee for one example.)

Rich thank you so much for this broadcast and for providing the truth behind this strange story. I hope your broadcast will make its way around the internet so more people will learn the truth and not give this conman their money.
Fantastic Rich. I would encourage your viewers to read this reddit post which further describes the GoFundMe scam Ronn and his family are running: https://www.reddit.com/r/JusticeForClayton/s/bRIcZZ3F0L
KGO had prior sordid stories involving their hosts. Duane Garrett whose family I believe had a famous SF ice cream brand died by suicide possibly related to his sports memorabilia sales being determined fake as I recall. The “Lion of the Left” host Bernie Ward from an affluent family was charged for child pornography he had supposedly been investigating about to stop. I was floored upon hearing such. I always liked Ronn Owens who I thought was genuine. Now, not sure. Perhaps I should have switched back then to listening to virtuous KSFO right-wing radio with their wholesome hosts. Seriously, the demise of KGO may not be just Cumulus; I am thinking Karma.
I worked with Ronn for years. He would argue either side of an issue solely based on which position he thought would make for “a better hour.”. He coyly admitted it to anyone who called him out for being inconsistent. Pete Wilson Gene Burns, and Bernie aware were genuine. They shared their honest opinions. Ronn was an entertainer, always tweaking the calls and bumper music to appear young and hip for better sales demographics. Ask any support staff that worked for him. Fake, manipulated, and disingenuous. Just like his “show must go on” comments when the rest of the staff was canned.
Ronn Owens - once one of the respected names in local media - is now nothing more than a scam artist conman trying to con his most ardent supporters out of money to fund his gambling debts and his daughters legal judgements. What a loser.
I can imagine it must have been difficult you to expose Ron as the fraud that he is but thank you for doing the right thing. You did the public a real service, especially considering lamestream media did Ron’s bidding and shilled his bullshit story and bogus GoFundMe all to fund his daughter’s legal judgment.
Translation: This entire publicity campaign about Ronn’s health is nothing more than a scheme to deceive people into unknowingly funding his daughter’s legal judgments, all under the pretense of covering his medical expenses. Few things are more contemptible than exploiting public goodwill, and there’s a special place in hell reserved for grifters like these.
Rich, you're getting a lot of positive attention on Reddit and YouTube. This whole thing is crazy. I'm convinced we'll see a Netflix series about it because of Ronn's daughter. It has kind of a Baby Reindeer vibe to it.
Go Fund Me is a scam, top to bottom. 10% OFF the top. I will never contribute to a Go Fund Me account. It is as egregious as making money/taking money from dying people. Only an idiot would contribute to a Go Fund me account with the knowledge that they take their cut first.

ReplyDeleteRonn's daughter apparently has some serious issues, which could be the basis of the Go Fund Me acct.

and its only one of four different lawsuits the "angel" Laura has filed.

ReplyDeleteOops! Looks, like one of your "Tribe" isn't kosher?
ReplyDeleteJust stop repeating the lurid accusations about Ron Owens’ gambling problems.
ReplyDeleteHis medical bills are covered by medicare. What the hell is this BS about hospital bills.
ReplyDeleteApparently you are utterly unaware, 8:12 , of what medicare does and doesn't cover.

ReplyDeleteWhen the temperature reached 80 degrees in SF Ronn used to complain about the heat. Why he ever moved to Scottsdale has been mystery to me.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he found a good pedicurist in Scottsdale? It is alleged he loved his pedicures in SF.
