For the love of God... would someone please take Copey Copes off the air. Has little to no sports knowledge yet he thinks he knows it all. No on air chips other then nonsensical babbling and giggling like a fool. I know for a fact that the Niners media relations can't stand him except Bob Sargent, who Adam kisses his ass so they can broadcast the pre & post game shows from the Press Box. Dennis Brown is insightful & knowledgeable. But Copes and "$100 an appearence" Larry Kruger are dreadful. At least they get free food at the media spread. They let everyone know about that. Can't wait until these clowns are off the air. Copeland will never work in Bay Area radio again.
@8:18- Derek was very grateful, but I think he didn't want to make it seem like he was replacing Tom, or make it seem like it was all about him.
Sounds like even though he's technically taking over for Tom, it will be more of a collective show between him, Copes, and "Thin Tim" (Tim Webb) the producer.
I don’t think either of the sons could carry a show solo if needed. I guess fairly young Copes, Kurtenbach, Crowley, and Dickinson at least have the gift of spontaneous gab we can always count on though usually nonsense or annoying. I wonder why Greg Papa and Mike Silver put their sons in such a position. Why did they encourage their sons to take some almost minimum wage job they clearly suck at and in the declining radio industry?
KNBR's strategy was to have a vet (Murphy, Papa) carry the show and to pair them with an inexperienced kid who didn't cost anything. Copes does not have the talent or personality to carry a show, he's supposed to be the inexperienced kid.
Heard Papa (sr) and Silver (b) touting “Big 49er auction” today. Yes - just what I expected coming from a billionaire and millionaires: “you too can be part of the Fun for $XXXXXXXX amount of money”. It’d be a disgusting joke if it were not real, but it’s even more pathetic that it’s real. “Yay !! Kittle threw me a turkey leg !!” $20,000.
Well, they can’t talk about the team’s performance. Can’t believe Shanahan thinks his Defensive Coordinator thinks his Defensive Coach/Coordinator is doing a stellar job but the results are misleading or something to that effect. KNBR keeps defending him and Lynch as able to get hired by another team over night. Shanahan is a great play caller with sufficient talent on the team but is notorious for stupid calls when it counts the most like in playoffs and Super Bowls. Lynch with his stupid draft picks. They can find another job; good for them and good riddance.
@10:41 am You are correct Sir. Niners will finish below .500 this year, out of the playoffs, deep in the draft. You watch 12-18 players will walk, having had enough of the “We’re the 49ers!” baloney. They haven’t been the same since DeMeco Ryans was DC. Bosa lost a step, as have several “leaders”. Old age remains #1 contender after a few short flashes.
Today, the show was OK. Copes was tolerable and D Papa had some good takes, but it's not a show to purposely listen to. It's a "I have 10 minutes to spare while waiting for Bart" type of show.
Dirty Work with Copey Cope & D Popz?? Is this suppose what KNBR has come down to put a cheap Edgy Fratboys radio show on afternoon drive?? Couldnt pay me 5 mins to listen to these hacks 5 days a week. This Adam Copey Dope whatever his name is likes to hear himself laugh like a hyena and sound like a knock bootleg version of Patrick Mahones. While KNBR promoted Greg Papa son who was a board op/producer to replace Tom Tolbert . His sports takes is bland just like his old man. Give 6-8 months before Cumulus pulls the plug on Dirty Crap show and replace it with a tape delay block of Jim Rome or Fox Sports Radio.

Geez, thanks for the bullshit Greg. You sure as hell are nowhere near Harlan or even many of the college game callers. I believe you are better suited for calling games in Phoenix, where the bullshit level would be a welcome relief.
