Taiwan has the largest per capita educated part of the Chinese population resulting in better jobs like at TSMC (semiconductors) supporting companies like Nvidia. They have a better governing body wnsuring yge best education and health care and cleaner infrastructure. Ask any business person from the US or other Asian countries where they would rather travel to for comfort and more importantly safety. You must be a Chinese Government bot because why would they want to control Taiwan again if it was the shirt hole place you say it is.
Get the facts straight. Look at what China has vs Taiwan. Beautiful city in China vs slum in Taiwan. Taiwanese people need to respect China when most ancestors is from China moving to Taiwan. Those modern day people show no respect changing their Mandarin language to their own when it is not their own creation when it is originally from origin of China. I am saying good things about China does not mean I am supporting China and calling me a commie shows how disrespectful Taiwanese supporters are.
Thanks, Rich, as I have been wondering what was going on with Dion Lim since she is still there at KGO, anchoring. I actually feel somewhat sorry for her, as it is never fun to work in an environment with a lot of drama or where people don't like you or you don't like them. It doesn't matter how much money they pay you, more money doesn't make working in a place like that, fun. I still say that Dion made two mistakes, not going for the money, and national status, when they were courting her for World News Now, although now I can somewhat understand her not going there, because it is still ABC/Disney, so the same problems will be there. Then also, her second mistake was in getting pregnant, having the baby, and being off for SIX MONTHS! I mean, when you are at the height of your popularity, you don't take off for six months! I learned way back in the day, not to even take long vacations, but to take a couple of days here and there, usually tacked onto a weekend, because I learned that if a company sees that they can get along without you for a couple of weeks, they can probably get along without you forever! Thanks once again Rich, for all you do and for staying up on this story.
How long was AMA Daetz out after she had a baby? It didn’t hurt her anchor role. Dion won’t break the KGO anchor desk for another 10 years. Only way she’ll get to the anchor chair is when Kristen Sze hangs up her mic.
Don’t mess with Kristen she got plenty of back up if the mouse wants her to go. The only way she will leave is she is unable to talk on camera like voice issues, she can be a writer for the main anchor
When J Seelig at KCBS had a baby we were hoping she would be gone for six months to *bond* with the newborn. She was back in four weeks. We started to check our vacation schedules.
As I mentioned in the previous blog about Dion Lim, she is a fantastic anchor. If she can work for other stations in the Bay Area that's great. If not then she can work for one the stations down in LA, either KNBC 4 or KABC 7.
No loss KGO if she can get a higher paying job good for her and anybody else.
