I like a couple of songs by Jody. She was somewhat overlooked at her prime. because of women like Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey. who could afford the very best in production and orchestration. Google up Jody's song called "Friends" when you feel like it. It's a very pleasant hip hop tune with good lyrics. Even that one Rap verse sounds good. and I hate most Rap.
When "Friends" was released, the multi-format song was relatively new, but rappers are routinely blended into many song genres these days. Eric B and Rakim were great in "Friends."
