Good for Heather, she looks at herself too high and too strong of a Texas accent for California viewers. Just look at how luxury is her clothing, fashion, luxury car and looks, too high expectation she cannot beat the executives at Fox for 10:00 News. Rich, what is going on with 10:00 News not finding the right female anchor?? Each week different anchor, is this the way Fox cut cost??

I say give Holmes and Savidge the 10 pm slot. They’ll grow the viewership. The tryouts, or as they say “bullpen game”, determined nothing, except that Mibach is better on mornings. Try Savidge and Holmes for 1 year, see if it sticks. I bet it will.
Heather concentrates so much on masking her Texas accent that she flubs people's names, can't ad lib to save her life and her bubble headed bleach blonde 'just have to look good, I don't have to be clear' persona comes across as light weight and unintelligent. When was last time she had a hard hitting serious interview/discussion without a glitch? People make mistakes yes, but with her salary Heather should be professional and flawless.
Off topic, but I dislike listening to that pontificating asshat JT Snow on Tolbert/Copes dissing Shohei Ohtani as not worthy of MVP because he doesn’t field. I guess only pitching (which involves some fielding), hitting, and stealing bases as a baseball player just does not cut it for JT. He said something like he is just a DH (designated hitter) as was the term in the past. JT had just 189 career regular season home runs and only 20 career stolen bases. A little jealous no doubt. His memorable moment for me is rescuing Dusty Baker’s small child from wandering off to home plate. He is only on their show probably because of the Arizona connection with Tolbert. At least he did not make excuses for the Giants this year but his input on other stuff is bizarre too.
Position players are a bit bias, but his argument is valid. For the '24 season though, I can't find a better MVP candidate....maybe some other season his argument would carry more weight.
I would love to see Alex Savidge and Heather Holmes anchor the 10PM newscast on KTVU 2. If Heather doesn't get the 10PM slot, my dream would be to see her join KRON4, KPIX5, or ABC7.
Heather Holmes and Alex Savage are a great news team. They belong on the 6,10 and 11:00 news. They are like the Pat Summerall and John Madden ( the best announcing team ever in sports) of KTVU.
Heather is not the problem. The problems started when FOX took over and imposed their corporate culture while keeping g salaries low to pay for all the defamation lawsuits. Losers.
