I won't speak on it being re-played during the "State of California" segment BUT, even though Bunger was of course selling a book, I thought the segment was nice. I had forgotten all about the Madden segments in the morning and the stories Bunger told were refreshing. Maybe it was re-played at the "wrong" time but I actually enjoyed the original story in the morning.
I absolutely loved this morning's segment with Stan Bunger. As a decades long listener of KCBS, I've listened to John Madden's daily segments religiously for a very long time. The fact that Stan wrote a book about it was news to me, so that whole segment was informational and nostalgic at the same time.
The segment wasn't played during a regular news/traffic/weather time slot. Rather, it was played during their daily "Ask An Expert" segment, so I thought it was appropriate timing-wise.
I'm tired of Baliey O'Caroll becoming the sports reporter at KTVU. She was reporting about Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams but had no insight on the contract situations. You could send me down to Levi's to report on the games and I would do a pay better job then her. Want to know why? Because I know the team and the players! Hiring people from San Marcos, California where she probably grew up a Chargers fan (SHOW ME YOUR LIGHTNING BOLT!) is not good when they don't know the long history of our teams. This is from her profile at KTVU that she probably helped write: "She also delved into sports reporting, capturing the excitement of the Phoenix Suns' NBA Finals journey and the NCAA men's basketball tournament." What the hell? Oh and for all you McDonald's fans she's eaten a McFlurry in four foreign locations. You can't make this stuff up!
@6:03 The McFlurry’s ain’t got nuttin on the sausages she sampled in four foreign locations dressed like a hooker in the cheetah outfit. But being serious for a second, come on KTVU. Do you literally not care about your viewers anymore. Why is Betty Yu anchoring sports on a Monday night. Loyal viewer who used to always stick around for sports. Now I’m changing the channel.
Her outfits fire yo. U bitches haters. Seen her fly ass at rizondos in north beach. Girl been samplin the italian hot links if u feel me. About to be on safari myself.
I can confirm Bailey O’Conner has been making the rounds. Word is her Swiftie friendship bracelets have been turning up on the floors of every tech bro in Soma. And the morning after pill at walgreens are always on short supply
Hey don’t knock Bailee! Sure she’s pathetically incompetent and vain as hell, but as her supporters point out, she sure does know how to rock that $11.99 Forever 21 cheetah mini! You know you’re jealous!
I'm watching Ms Betty Yu anchoring the evening news on KTVU. No chemistry with Mike Neebach or Bill Martin. Robotic tone. I bet money that is why Kpix never let her anchor there. KTVU must regret this hire

ReplyDeleteRich must be having a terrible case of the Mondays. How could any regular KCBS listener not enjoy that Stan Bunger segment?

Delete@6:03p : Her sports expertise appears to be sorely lacking.
ReplyDeleteI've watched Betty Yu anchor the evening news at KTVYU two nights in a row. I feel like I’m watching an anchor in Boise, Idaho
