He needs a better team to announce for. I see the Sharks have the worst record. Draymond Green should hang up the basketball shoes for skates. He would be the ultimate defenseman/enforcer and punches / fights only will get him a few minutes in the penalty box with a nod from the league. What a strange aspect of this sport. Bad enough other sports protect their athletes from civil and criminal charges for assaults. These hockey leagues actually encourage assaults and group fights for the fans although I realize with the helmets on it is pretty tame fighting and maybe just for show like WWE.
I've had the privilege of meeting Randy a few times through my job in broadcast media. I still remember him as incredibly kind and gracious. One of my colleagues worked at SAP Center and interacted with him a lot for a number of years. He describes Hahn as the nicest and most genuine person he's ever met. Randy has been doing this for nearly 30 years. Google him, and I challenge someone to find a single comment even remotely critical or nasty. He's a 100% class act.
As a previous Sharks season ticket holder, I was lucky to have Randy H give me some pep talks. He knows his stuff, I learned important nuances about the game: minutes on ice and standings at Thanksgiving. Hahn is a talented broadcaster!
And don't forget about Dan Rusanowsky, Sharks radio play by play announcer, who recently was awarded the highly acclaimed Foster Hewitt Memorial Award, for his career in NHL broadcasting.
If it were left to KNBR “the spurtz bleater”, None of us would even know the Sharks existed. Another nail in the coffin for the lame-brain unfunny lackies who opine from 6-6. Hahn & Remenda are superb radio and TV folk.
