Bay Area Media Cowards: Get It Off My Chest

8 comments:

  1. As challenging as it may be, the best course of action is to ignore them. It seems like they're attempting to provoke a reaction, so avoid giving these individuals the satisfaction of acknowledging their comments or mentioning their names in your videos.

From a technical standpoint, there might be a way to prevent anonymous comments from being submitted. However, there's a concern that these individuals could simply begin to use fake names or, even worse, someone else's name. Speaking of technical controls, some websites allow you to block comments containing specific words that you specify. For example, if you blocked comments with the word 'asshole,' these individuals could still submit the comment, but you wouldn't see it – it would simply vanish once they hit the submit button. It might be worth exploring what settings your site offers.

  2. Rich, to reverently borrow from Perry Farrell and Jane's Addiction. "Idiots Rule".

  3. I work in local radio and would bet my next two paychecks that two of the people you named in this video are 100% actively lurking on your page leaving nasty comments. I don't have any hard evidence but the number of times these two talk about you referencing your materials and then what they say specifically is telling.

  4. Instead of further criticizing others and attempting to identify people who may be commenting on your page, consider being more introspective. Your blog mainly focusses on provactive negativity and highlighting perceived flaws in others, whether professional or personal. Given this focus, is it surprising that you've fostered an environment that encourages others to express similarly negative comments about you? You've created a specific vibe and cultivated an audience who responds to that, and it's not unexpected that some of the individuals you've criticized, often repeatedly, are now criticizing you, even if anonymously. I hope you'll receive this comment in the intended spirit, which is self-reflection.

    1. @4:09, classic example of victim blaming. What Rich is describing isn't his fault. I suppose you also blame women who are in abusive relationships?

    2. Oh for fuck’s sake, so now we’re equating Rich getting trolled to a woman in an abusive relationship?

    3. @4:09 you nailed it. I wish I could be as concise and eloquent.

  5. California, what a big mess, especially bay area media. My two favorites Michael Savage and Phil Grande off the air. Just not the same on You tube and pod casts. I mentioned before only one news radio station KCBS to cover the millions here, what a scam, they are really full of BS, PBS radio is junk. Four radio sports channels. The democrat cartel is really spending big money, all those tv ads.
