Thursday Headlines on Wednesday

COULD a new, hybrid news-talk radio station emerge in the Bay Area?

Of course it can, even against all odds.

But it would require a lot of, yes, money and patience, non egos too.

That's a lot of heavy lifting, I'll expound on it on Thursday.

*The KRON mildew in the building at 900 Front is quite exttensive.

On Thursday, I'll key you in.

*Does KQED care anymore or is it just in cruise control? My take on Thursday.

*And further chaos in the KCBS newsroom, I'll tell you the specifics on Thursday.

    1. NOVA? Ken Burns special? The educational shows for children? Saturday Night movies? Julia Child?
Antiques Roadshow is “Wheel of Fortune” for those driving Teslas.

  2. KQED has some great programs - Antiques Roadshow, Nova, Nature, anything produced by Ken Burns, Great Performances, PBS Newshour, Check Please, Bay Area, cooking shows, but they are not transparent on expenditures specifically administrative salaries. They have too many pledge breaks.

    1. @4:51, your review is essentially correct, but there are several great kids’ shows on KQED that are educational, entertaining, and enlightening.
The Saturday night movies are 👍👍
THEY definitely need some new blood in the ranks because it is little changed from 25-15-10 years ago.
