Station turmoil
Low Ratings--including morning show, 20th in market and getting hammered by "Th Game"
Graham's health a KEY factor; he's been baen battling numerous heath issues, one, very serious.
Source: Not so much a firing but a mutual parting.
*Developing story...
I think both Murph and Papa need real partners who will call them on their BS and keep them away from their weak points. They also need to blow up the afternoon - Tolbert has been mailing it for years and Copes would be better in creepy FP's slot. Also, please, please, please CBS, get rid of Amy Lawrence - she comes across as energetic and friendly, but all she does is talk about herself.
ReplyDeleteAmy Lawrence is a giant bore and comes as someone his zero sports knowledge that is reading off of cue. BTW - not an attack on a female sports anchor as their are many good ones like Linda Cohn or Rachel Nichols

DeleteThe morning show sets the desultory tone. I stopped listening years ago. An unmitigated mess.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you 100%. The morning show drove me away from KNBR, with the afternoon evening crew tied for a close second. When Murphy spoke about Shanahan wearing Yeezy’s, I thought I’d puke. Murph is better suited to dressing mannequins at Kohl’s.

DeleteI Listen to KNBR until 2pm then Change to 95.7 the game…. I really like Tolbert But Copes is completely unlistenable…. His Voice and Laugh are terrible, I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to ruin Tolbert show with Copes…. They should have at least Kept Larry Kruger he was always knowledgeable and does a good job on The Game when he is on…. Willard and Dibbs are much better at this point…. I do switch back and listen to FP, I like his show and the interaction with Callers…. My son and I like to listen to it on the way home from Football or Baseball Practice…..
ReplyDeleteI love Amy. I wish KNIBRR would get rid of that stupid "Midnight Baseball "
ReplyDeleteCopeland = career killer.
ReplyDeleteI heard that Bob Agnew has inquired about coming back as PD to The Sports Leader! Giggle... The little general (all 5 foot 5" of him) who ruled with an iron fist is coming back?
ReplyDeleteThe quality or lack of it reflects what type of job he did? Nothing changed except the letting go of Rod Brooks at long last and Larry Kreuger.Rest status quo.
