Betty Ann was unique in that she not only was a great reporter but she could tell a story. And she was magnificent and flawless in her effort.
One of her most compelling reports: the Oakland Hills firestorm in 1991 -- a fire that destroyed Ms. Bruno's home.
Ms. Bruno was 91.

ReplyDeleteRIP....Peace to the family always enjoyed watching her back in the day.
ReplyDeleteThree time Emmy award winner!
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. you little Munchkin.
RIP Ms. Bruno... you were a very good reporter. Godspeed!
ReplyDeleteAnother great one gone.
ReplyDeleteShe was an excellent reporter. The good old days of TV news.
ReplyDeleteAs a reporter she's the ultimate professional, RIP MS. Bruno
ReplyDeleteGreat long career, and life. Really appreciated her work and presence, during her many years at KTVU.
ReplyDeleteRIP, and speaking of great reporting, what's the real story about the dropped charges on the carjacking/ crash trio? Some politician's/police chief's relative?
ReplyDeleteShe was a patient at a doctor's office I worked at in the 90s and was just the nicest lady you'd ever want to meet. Had no idea she was a Munchkin, very cool!
ReplyDeleteWill KTVU give Betty Ann Bruno the proper on-air tribute she deserves? Or will they do her like they did Fred Zehnder?
ReplyDeleteA class act like Belva Davis
ReplyDeleteShe was also a Munchkin in the Wizard of Oz. Quite a life!
ReplyDeleteMet her a couple of times here in Sonoma. She was always lovely. She led a troupe of senior citizen Hula dancers at our senior center. She had just finished a performance when she passed.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace ! Wow. A career woman to be missed.
