In addition to having an odd voice, she’s a very strange person. Best of luck to her soon-to-be colleagues at NBC Bay Area. Now let’s see how long it is before she wears out her welcome there.
This is 100% accurate. Other words I’ve heard used to describe her include snooty, off-putting, weird, and annoying. I’m sure there are some who think she’s fabulous, but the overwhelming sentiment I’ve heard has been anything but that.
-KTVU employee who was here when Goss was hired and here when she walked out the door for the last time.
I almost fell off the couch as Raj Mathai tossed to Emma Goss for a report on flooded East Oakland apartments. Unfortunately she sounds as awful as ever.
She’s a very odd and weird person, and not in an interesting way. The vast majority of people at The Firm breathed a sigh of relief when Emma Gas got run out of ktvu.
Couldn’t be happier.

ReplyDeletePlease elaborate. Everyone is strange?
Delete“…she’s a very strange person.”

What do you mean she’s strange? Do you know her?

Sick of seeing Audrey Asistio sour look on TV. How on earth did they hired her???
ReplyDeleteThey hired her for one reason and one reason only: her twins.
DeleteGood for her! Nobody who CAN leave KTVU stays at KTVU. It's a miserable place to work.
ReplyDeleteAdios, pendeja. You won’t be missed.
ReplyDeleteOh, and don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

ReplyDeleteGreat. Hopefully Dave Clark, Frank Mallicoat and Pam Coom will follow Emma’s lead and show themselves out the door.
ReplyDeleteThey dump Cheryl Hurd and bring in Emma Goss....hardly seems like an equitable trade-off...
ReplyDeleteEmma probably gets paid 1/4 Cheryl, so they see it as *very * equitable. It’s the kind of math they love, actually.
DeleteGood move by NBC Bay Area for getting Emma Goss but as usual bad move by the "firm" KTVU for letting her go...
ReplyDeleteGoss probably costs half of what Hurd made. Welcome to the modern-day media.
ReplyDeleteDon't like her much so no loss, just don't let Amanda C go....
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like a robot -- or a woman auditioning to be a robot
ReplyDeleteEmma gas never been a good broadcaster… she’s so awkward, weird and can’t talk.

DeleteGood for her, hope she got more money.
