Exclusive: Reporters Wage War on Controversial EP at Circle7; Refuse to Work; Leetha Yee, Center of KGO-TV Hostile Work Atmosphere; Settlements Paid Out

KGO-TV (ABC7) has a PROBLEM --an ONGOING MAJOR INTERNAL issue and it's reached an EPIC CRISIS POINT at 900 FRONT

Leetha Yee is the PRIMARY figure in this escalating crisis. Yee, the Executive Producer of KGO's evening newscasts, is a controversial EP; so much so that a majority of Circle7's reporters DO NOT want to work the 3-11 PM shift because Yee finds any excuse to rip their work and pick fights over the smallest issues. It's not just an occasional issue, it happens virtually every time Yee is on the floor and it gets worse by the day. She has done this, according to one of my sources at KGO, for 20plus years.

The situation has become so TOXIC, a senior KGO reporter, has complained to News Director, Tracey Watkowski-Silva and ABC HR. So far, nothing definitive has transpired but the situation has become the talk of the ABC7 newsroom. People are unhappy even as EP Yee continues her reign of terror at the Embarcadero studios where ABC-SF broadcasts. It's especially evident, says my spy, when Yee enters the newsroom for work.

KGO seems to have acknowledged Yee's weakness with her fellow staff--they've PAID OUT Six-Figure settlements to SILENCE emploiyees who have been targeted by Yee.

Past victimes of Yee include Alan Wang, Erik Rosales, and Lillian Kim.
