Breaking: 415 Media Exclu: Alan Wang Fired From KGO-TV (ABC7); Update: Wang Terminated for "Liking a Tweet"

OVER at KGO-TV (ABC7) they just dropped the bomb on veteran reporter/anchor Alan Wang. I believe THIS might have been the issue.  Both Wang's profile is no longer on KGO's webpage and his Twitter page is also missing. HE GONE!
UPDATE: 3: 06 PDT: Indeed, a source close to Wang confirmed to me that he was terminated with cause; no pay. The source indicated the firing was related to the above link. "Yes, they terminated him for "liking a tweet."

This is headed for court. Wang has a lawyer.

  2. I think you predicted this not very long ago.
Something to do with his and his wife's health
    AND some twitter episode.
Yep, 3/11 post-I'll take that research job anytime, Rich. j/k

  5. Let's see what we can do to have KRON's Stanley Roberts "People Behaving Badly" cover both the court proceedings for both the Laura Garcia-Cannon divorce and this Alan Wong fisasco,

  6. In fairness to the Wangs, shouldn't you tell us how they got Hep B?

We're left thinking they were junkies, or even worse.

    1. Being a Hep B carrier is frequent in Asian communities. Immigrants are recommended to be vaccinated for this.

  9. All the more reason to keep your personal life out of the professional one. He should have had a private personal email and then post it there. People at work are not friends. That said, I don't see how this is a termination offence with cause. And that said, he should have checked with his employer and get approval for posting via his manager or HR.

  10. Too bad this is a good guy. WTF are they dumping good people and bringing in dummies. Letting Leyla Golean go was just but not this fine reporter. I hope a good station grabs him for more money he is worth it. Alan if you read this we appreciate your great work and we know you deserve better. Circle 7 just gave themselves a black eye.

  12. Hep B is mostly also by Tats, needles, or blood transfusion.

This guy will sue, I hope he has a good attorney and gets millions.

And Disney calls it's self the happiest place on earth. What massive douchebags
