WHENEVER YOU GET A JOINT APPEARENCE BY THE BIG BOYS, Woodward and Bernstein, you have to stop what you're doing and pay attention.
Last (Thursday) night, Bob (Woodward) and Carl (Bernstein) were on for a far too few 15 minutes on Anderson Cooper. It was riveting TV News and it didn't matter that it was on CNN, hell it could have been on any other channel.
Woodward, as usual, told it like it is; not that he'd say anything otherwise so obvious about the last days of Dr. Strangelove --Bernstein was equally incredulous and basically said, without saying, Richard Nixon wasn't that bad a guy compared to the current occupant. You don't have to have an R or a D or an I next to your name. You just have to watch the video above --it says it all.
By then way, Woodward is a Republican, for the record.
A LOCAL angle: Last night's political virtuoso would have made for a great reaction segment on the KGO John Rothmann Show--but Rothmann's show, save for a half-hour, was kidnapped by Cal Basketball and its four listeners.
Yes, Bob Woodward's republicanism is widely known. It was very good tv, I agree. Would someone , however, please tell Carl, that the word "homicide" is not pronounced "HOMO-cide."..You'd think he'd know.
ReplyDelete50 years ago, I was a Republican... changed when I saw the racism against Blacks... not against me per se. Now Independent.
ReplyDeleteTo the Hairpiece's brainwashed fanatics, it is pronounced the way Carl pronounced it, because that's how most of the 76 million traitors see anybody in the bluest spots on the West Coast, as well as those who are for information, not image, and coronavirus treatments, not conspiracy theories.
