*ONCE AGAIN, KNBR can't afford a 50 buck cell phone for inept-sounding, Duane Kuiper, who once again sounded like shit this (Wednesday) morning --coming in and more likely, OUT of yest another dreaded phone conversation with the morning muts, Smurph and Smack. I don't know what sounded worse: Kuiper's pipes going in and out every minute r the BUTTHEADS doing the interview and not saying, "You know, Kuip, this is another SHITTY -Sounding, CHEAP cell you're talking to us on!" Radio Shack lives on at KNBR Cumulus.
*"Building a Better Bay Area" --maybe the most dishonest PR gimmick by a Bay Area TV News station ever! More like Disney trying to impress and shook and jive an entire region with more BS than a horse stable at Golden Gate Fields. Yeah, build they do at ABC/SF, home of insincere women "journalists" pressuring others to sign fake and manufactured petitions. Building that.
*If Reyna Harvey had one-tenth the personality she should have, KRON would have to pay her retail and not the wholesale she currently gets from the Nextstar nerds. Maybe they're saving moolah for
Ibanez. 
*Reyna: I'm sure her journalistic acumen is enhanced by her Instagram feed. I see a Pulitzer coming.
*Fletcher and Folsom: sounds like a dance team. And boy, did they dance last week! Ba da Bing!
*It's simple: KRON hires Ibanez and immediately gets instant BUZZ, thereby acquiring a few extra eyes and Ibanez does that, Mission Accomplished.
*Allen Martin: another supposedly good guy at PIX who doesn't show any personality, at least on screen which only reinforces the notion that he can't replace Ken Bastida when Kenny is told to leave by CBS and head to Akron next year.
*SPEAKING OF PIX, another VDLC (Veronica De La Cruz) update: she's still gone from the news set; nothing to report; I can tell you it's very unlikely that she'll be back this year, or ever for that matter. If she does, her pals at 855 Battery are way over her "inner theatrics" and just SMH (shake their head) call it the "who-gives-a-shit" about her (DLC) --if indeed she's suffering a medical malady, then it's her fault because past deeds (misdeeds) has come back to haunt the girl that cried wolf.
*A story that's worth repeating: when KGO Radio was sent out to pasture back in 2011, the very next day, Ronnnnnn Owens, spent fifteen minutes on the matter; the Saturday after on her morning show, Pat Thurston, devoted three hours and lines loaded with distraught Bay Area radio fans talking about the murder of a local institution. Three Hours. Thurston risked her career to do what she did. Thrhe guy in the morning who audio-farted for 15 mins before talking about gadgets, showed his true image. And then after his show, took a Cumulus schmuck to lunch.
*KOIT can play Christmas music till July (they have) --hey, it pays the bills. Besides, I don't mind Alvin and the Chipmunks.
*I'm glad the weather reports still air on local TV and radio because, well, there's so much weather to talk about: the next 10 days, clear and cold.
*MY DAY-AFTER THANKSGIVING Birthday Party was not staged at French Laundry but at the Emeryville Denny's where I made goo-goo eyes with my friend, Becky Easy. We didn't wear masks and sat inside. I told her she was my princess. She told me to go to hell.
*A toasted everything bagel with black coffee and oatmeal is not only far cheaper than scrambled eggs but also makes for wonderful holidays meals. I should know, hat's what I had.
*KRON needs just a few more weather boards because they don't have enough now.
*Ama Daetz needs to change her hair style because she hasn't done so for at least the past 5 minutes.

*THIS JUST IN: 49ers radio PBP broadcaster called Mitch McConnell to ask the Kentucky guy, what he thought about Papa's touchdown call.
*When Papa gets mean to the underlings and acts like a jerk, they take comfort: at least he doesn't talk with the gargle voice which has been used as torture for prisoners at Rikers.

I'm guessing, here, as I just don't know, but changing one's hair isn't an easy thing to change. Not everybody has D. Feinstein's hair-dresser connections during these trying times; 'just something to consider.
ReplyDelete(Re: VDLC) I don't fully understand employment laws, but if one is somehow disabled and can no longer do a job full-time; or only part-time; or not even part-time; disability and social security might kick in. How long it takes to finally be deemed disabled and what legalities, along with appeals by either party is unknown to me. I imagine some cases might be more complicated than others. At some point, an employee is separated from a given employer.
Meanwhile, a person will also be undergoing some type of medical/physical/psychological treatment(s)/therapies. There could be several other battle-fronts for a person to handle during that time. Anything or everything could be going on with any particular person and we may never know (or have the need to know). For a person who I don't know and have no ill toward, all I can say is good luck and get well soon; best wishes.
There's nothing wrong with VDLC, other than she's a drama queen.
