THE MAJOR NETWORKS; not just ABC, NBC, CBS, but Fox too, cut away from President Trump's disturbing, rambling White House address on Thursday, citing unfounded charges of a "rigged election."
NONE of what took place at the White House was surprising but a few optics stood out, something quite real: no other aides were nearby Trump's crazy show, not even Vice President, Mike Pence. Even leading Republicans tried later to distance themselves from the president's nutty summation.
LOCALLY, KGO Radio's Chip Franklin, seemed to laugh off the bizarre, nothing new there. John Rothmann didn't seem fazed either, saying despite Trump's assault on democracy, "the votes will be counted and the electors will meet and do their constitutional duty, {in January}."
Should be a crazy two and a half months, I can hardly wait.
*I would love to hear more of KCBS' astute and lively political analysts, Mark Sandalow, based in Washington and who clearly tries to be objective and straight-forward; Sandalow's take on Friday (today) about Trump's allegations were just getting interesting and provocative when anchor, Stan Bunger, said, "we only have a few minutes," --yeah, more commercials and traffic updates.
*KCBS' commercials onslaught is despicable and pathetic, a true betrayal of listener trust. It is now plastered all over the news domain. KCBS has a right to make money, nobody disputes that, but when there's literally more ads than there is news content, then something is wrong. It's called epic greed and it's totally disgusting and embarrassing.
Commercials? Try CNN
ReplyDeleteMy father -in-law is a dedicated Faux News viewer. It's "on" 24/7/365 at his condo. Talk about commercials!!! It's like every five goddamn minutes: Tons of pro-GOP paid spots (which will disappear, thankfully)...pickup trucks, life insurance, anti-cholesterol, "male enhancement" ads.
