I Became Unhinged Last Night Listening to Rothmann on KGO; Trump is Jim Jones

The John Rothmann Show | KGO-AM

I BECAME UNHINGED Last Night: Driving home from an event in the city, I was listening to KGO's John Rothmann.

Rothmann is too nice a guy and too eager to go out of his way to give the Trump lunatics and cultists (that's what Trump people are) valuable air time on radio to argue for another guy that is also unhinged: Trump himself.

Rothmann continues to go all civility --it's a gracious thought and all but it gets REAL OLD and DISGUSTING when he's played like a fool. He isn't. He's far more intelligent. He keeps saying that his MO is to expose the Trump lunatic fringe --all well and good but this is no regular loyal opposition guy, this is a modern-day seditionist with ZERO regard for the country and democracy in general.

Trump is now Jim Jones and his believers have drank the Koolaid . The only thing left is a remote compound in South America.

  1. Rich you are confusing me, you wrote an excellent blog about John Rothmann a few days ago. Now your opinion is just the opposite, hard to know where you stand. I for one like the diversity of callers to John's program, as does other listeners. When they get to outrageous John hangs up on them. I don't need 3 hours of liberals calling John, although I like their calls as well. Gene Burns had some of his best moments when he was arguing with someone challenging his point of view. I listen to Tom Sullivan quite often, he is one of the few conservative hosts I can listen to, because he takes calls from liberals, or other conservatives that disagree with him, Sullivan is not a Trumpster, although he like some of his policies.
I think it is important to know how some of those Trump supporters think, and how entrenched they are in their belief. I also think John has a nice mix of callers on. He also reads emails with different points of view, he often reads my emails, and I'm not a Trump supporter, so all in all a nice balance. I still find John's show the best on KGO.

  2. I think John on more than one occasion has pointed out how he feels about Trump, and has question his mental stability. Which we all should do.

  3. I thought for sometime that Trump was like a cult leader. Driving around I still see many with Trump stickers or pick-ups with Trump 2020 flags in the back.

  4. You have this wrong. The real "Jim Jones" was Obama and the media and his chanting followers drank the kool aid. Many many many outlets came out after his presidency and said that they wish they hadn't treated him with "kid gloves" because of the fact he was black. If they had treated him like every other politician it would have been headline after headline. The public was taken for a long 8 year ride.

  5. Are you upset that he doesn't take liberal callers 90% of the time like every other host on the station? Are you upset that the station is only 97% echo chamber and not the full 100%?

    1. If the truth is what you call an echo, AnonymousOctober 21, bring on 100% echo.

  6. The Trump supporters have become a cult. They don't realize it: probably most members of a cult don't realize it. But in the final days of this campaign season, Trump is losing his mind. He's so desperate to win that he'll do anything to win. He thinks the rules don't apply to him. When all the sycophants have nowhere left to go, Trump is going to be left alone. Even Rudy Giuliani's days are coming to an end. See the Borat movie that comes out on Friday. Sacha Baron Cohen deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

  7. Any time and every time anyone writes, talks or mentions negative things about Trump, his right wing; and no longer just far right, it's the entire right wing of these lunatic racist bigots who come out and call anyone who is opposed to their thinking as nut jobs. All I can say is that it took one lunatic just under a decade to convince his entire country into loving white power and hating Jews and the like. These hating bigots and mongers followed their nut job leader to the grave. Let all these lunatics follow Trump to his rally's. They're doing the rest of the nation a favor as when they come down with that make believe pandemic that is closing in on killing 220,000, they'll be doing us a favor when they all die. Hooray for the fake news media! Its not us who are dying. Your six foot hole await you while those of us who are trying to stay safe are keeping six feet apart.

"You People" would be saying the exact same thing about ANY Republican politician who spoke his mind, and refused to play the game of diplomacy by the ENEMIES RULES......P.S..Trump is our HONEY BADGER, not a cult leader. A Honey Badger pursues his prey, and don't give a G.Damn who frowns about it..He is do his job for US.

  9. One local Congresswoman believes that the Incumbent is Jim Jones without the cyanide. In the last four years, Jackie Speier has had Jones nightmares, because of the last four years, with both the pandemic claiming lives, taking the economy to Great Depression level, and further exposing the family separations that have victimized both immigrants and young, poverty-stricken mothers. No, the Challenging ticket is not the cure-all. But at least there will be empathy for the sick and poor, including the Unborn Savers who are down and almost out with the coronavirus.
BTW, Real Honey Badgers wouldn't know America or Jesus or any mammal that isn't on safari, and would do a better job showing compassion than the Blasphemy-in-Chief who is more interested in soundbytes than sound advice that even the Red States stricken with COVID need.
