*Erica Kato, formerly the KRON weather gal, (there's so many, past and present, I forget the count) has been spinning away now as MUNI spokeswomen, because her journalistic fortitude was being threatened and therefore...and now you know the rest of the story.
BULLETIN: That Nordstrom cosmetics clerk disguised as a TV News anchor, Liz Kreutz, was seen, again, on the teleprompter at KGO-TV Sunday morning--alert the authorities!
I'll give Kreutz credit: she does know her Estee Lauder.
Take a look at the picture on the left: that just smells a future Helen Thomas.
*If I want truth and transparency in these times, I'm gonna hold out for Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN's surgeon general supreme and mass skeptic of a POTUS' medical status.
*It's really pathetic and painful to liusten to 49ers' PBP broadcasters, especially one Greg Papa, complain about their not being able to travel to road games--on the air, no less, while the US death toll from Covid-19 surpasses 207,000.
*Kreutz has navigated the profession big time--she started out at Ross.
*The Bay Area used to be a hotbed of talented TV and radio news journalists -- now, it does appear it's become a cesspool of Fresno/Sacramento Neanderthals with all the news prowess of a Yuba City 7-11.

*Lisa Argen, KGO weather forecaster on Sunday: "Take me seriously!" --yeah, sure thing.

*You want a real Bay Area woman journalist? Try Rita Williams who retired from KTVU now what seems like an eternity --it's just that Rita's void is still apparent because the current frauds on KTVU are a blight to Bay Area viewers.
*If Krautz is to be taken seriously then I'm Taylor Swift.

DeleteBetty Ann Bruno at KTVU was a great reporter too. I think that she's 90 now and teaching hula dancing in Sonoma. She was also a child actress and one of the munchkins in 'The Wizard of Oz.'

Delete8:44 True that! I left TV news 12-years ago for a state PIO gig here in Sacramento..after 18-years in TV news. It's the BEST career move I've ever made. It's a "classified" job, so I am not serving at the pleasure of the Governor--I'm protected. Excellent health insurance...no weekends...federal holidays off...and a great pension!

ReplyDeleteThat photo of Erica reminds me of a Penny Hardaway Reebok shoe I proudly wore in the 90's--the one with a little basketball button on the tongue...which I could press to inflate an air cushion inside my shoe. I think I was only supposed to press no more than five times. Erica looks like she pressed her chest-button 50-times.

ReplyDeleteI don't know who she is but perhaps she enjoys doing the weekend news, maybe she wants to keep her dream alive, maybe her family lives in Sac Town and you must be old because driving to Bay Area to Sac Town is not that bad especially with little traffic.
