THEY ARE NOT LOVEY-DOVEY, trust me.
That said, it's coming down to the wire as Haener (Julie) and Holmes (Heather) duke it out (metaphorically speaking) at KTVU: one of the two (probably) will land 10 PM and it's 10 PM that has HH motivated. She's been the recipient of rope-a-dope and she's sick of waiting.
I've always thought of Haener as overrated and slightly more interesting than week-old melba toast with Velveeta but I'll take Haener over Holmes, who resembles a vanilla wafer yenta from San Leandro with credentials to be a cosmetics clerk at the local Macys.
Haener's more potent threat?
Cristina Rendon --a star with real screen presence and more than adequate teleprompter talent. Rendon is the real deal and Haener knows it. Hell, KTVU knows it too but they'll figure out a way to fuck it up.
Rendon bonus: she is a terrific reporter in the field.

ReplyDeleteWhy didn't KTVU call HH on her threat to quit when she made the ultimatum? She cannot be as valuable as she thinks she is otherwise she'd be in the seat by now. It looks like now she's third in line for the spot. For the sake of all sides and the newsroom, kill this cancer and let her go. She'll find something somewhere.

ReplyDeleteTwo birds with one stone? The Firm wants Haener's contract to end and let her move on. And RL, bluerincon both consider HH TX a Texas-sized cancer, which is a valid point. Of course, not how The Firm sees it.

She does pronounce Latin names/words as they should be and she's very well-spoken & professional, easy to listen to, too. She may fumble a word here & there like All anchors do, but she's not a bimbo nor a ditz like JH & HH. Luz Pena does have an accent.
DeleteAgree! Can't stand HH or JH. I do not see the attraction to HH at all. She is ice. Cristina Rendon is much much better at delivering the news and so much more beautiful than HH or JH.
