Ama Daetz |
IF YOU WANT TO GET TO THE NITTY-GRITTY of that so-called "petition" calling me sexist, consider this: Many women TV/Radio/net journalists didn't sign it, including KGO (ABC7) anchor, Ama Daetz.
Why?
Among other reasons but #1 is Daetz, like a whole lot of others, doesn't like Kristen Sze, the mastermind behind the letter and who plotted with GM, Tom Cibrowski and ND, Trixie Watkowski (using Disney/ABC/KGO company e-mail) to coordinate it and get it out in the open.
Sze, the insecure and conniving one, perceives Daetz as a threat. She should.
Daetz, in addition to having a sense of moral and professional clarity, is one of the best anchors in the market and destined for top spot at Circle7. She has emerged as a top-tier news reader with a vast news acumen. I also see she can interview too, something foreign to Sze's persona. Among other cases of insecurity.
Sze begged and moaned Trixie to get her the Death Valley Time slot ( 3-4 PM) so she could do a program that no one watches --even housewives who are bored and have nothing to watch.
Sze's rep at KGO is universal: she is detested by almost everyone. Her relationship with Watkowski is tight enough (but also on thin edge) that the power diva (Trixie) puts up with it because she views Sze as someone she can use as the station's snitch too.
What a bonanza.
Sze's emergence as the instigator behind the bogus (mainly) petition is another reason the vast majority of Circle7 inhabitants can continue to hate her and watch her insecure, loathsome self eventually disintegrate at 900 Front.

What would Karl Sonkin do?
ReplyDeleteAma is much nicer vs long face Kristen. On Friday newscast about movie theater opening at 4PM, Ama would like to go back to the theater getting some normal new life. While Kristen, she would only put out a screen outside her backyard inviting guest and enjoy the movie outdoors meaning no one is allowed inside the house. As for Sandhya, not a movie fan.
ReplyDeleteFinally, Rich praise Ama as a good reporter, why bother bashing Rich! Watch out Ama, someone might take over your spot and someone did take revenge on Natasha for stealing hers.
Anyone else notice no black women signed the petition against Rich?
ReplyDelete...I did, and I have no fondness for Black women reporters ...
DeleteI bet this woman anchor that was behind this petition or whatever it is, has severe regrets as her true colors are coming out from the inside of her network and now out to the public. Also this won't help her career, as her co-workers don't think highly of her. The mature thing to handle this, is not to do anything. Just ignore, many celebrities get slammed in a much higher level then this pecicular achor who I don't know because I watch very little local news and they seem to get by. She seems pretty petty, hello there are way more important things going on then this matter.
ReplyDeleteKristen since your woke why not do all next week with no fake lashes and stop dying that Grey hair. Remember looks dont matter in TV.
ReplyDelete...Asian woman without FAKE lashes??? The "natural" Asian beauty look? Never going to happen in Bay Area ... Kristen is gorgeous, BUT I'd HATE to wake up next to her the morning after and "see" what she really looks like ... (not so with VDLC, of course)
DeleteIt's weird Ritchie; a while back I commented I had a bad vibe from her and phony reggie and was ignored; sometimes other see what you can't, what a shame since you always gave her positive remarks; she's wolf in sheep's clothing, phony like reggie...
ReplyDeleteI agree...love Ama Daetz over Sze for top anchor 5, 6 and 11pm
ReplyDeleteChannel 7/Disney has a very patronizing vibe with the whole "Building a Better Bay Area" thing. The other stations do a better job of covering current issues without being overly preachy/condescending. Kristin Sze's 3 PM program is boring. She also reveals her personal biases in some of her interviews, which makes her interviews seem to have leading questions at times. I do like Ana Daetz, she's more professional.
ReplyDeleteI've always under the impression that Ama of is the Lead Female Anchor
ReplyDeleteRich, I'm really sorry with the way Sze and the other women treated you. That was wrong. But that aside, I must say I've always enjoyed Kristen's reporting. And, if I'm not mistaken, back on May 29, 2018 you wrote a pretty complimemtary blog on her. See http://richliebermanreport.blogspot.com/2018/05/i-underestimated-kgo-tvs-kristen-sze.html And that makes it an even greater head scratcher as to why Sze would spearhead suck a mean spirited attack on you.
