SHE'S NOT ONLY REAL GOOD, SHE'S A STAR: Cristina Rendon.
In this era of pandemics and marginalized talent, it would be safe to say the world is a different place and priorities need to be in order. Egos have to be checked. Braggadocio needs to be called out and removed immediately.
I Love Cristina Rendon. A solid pro. A really nice person Well liked and respected by her peers at KTVU, heck, everyone pretty much at the station.
Her star is rising. She anchors on the Friday-Saturday 10 PM news. She is gaining status as a future permanent fixture when Julie Haener leaves.
Rendon is reserved, shows a sense of humor and has an unbelievable smile. The viewers love her. She's classy too with an engaging personality; not in your face but very subliminal. What a presence. There's a tremendous respect here in an industry where you don't see terms like "respect" and "admiration" thrown around. Rendon oozes bot in addition to sincerity and grace.
KTVU has a real STAR on its air. I knew from day one.

ReplyDeleteMy god, you are easy to please. She got passed over for the weekend anchor job but the other Latina they offered it to went back to Phoenix so she was the next Latina in a line of no one else. No one cares who the weekend anchors are. That's why Fox pushes all of their minority anchors to the weekend and that's where they stay until they leave for another market to try and move up IF they have the talent. Am I the only one who sees that? There are not stars in SF news anymore. It's cheap and available. The new normal.
