Circle7's Stephanie Sierra Kickin' Ass on Wildfire Coverage

SHE'S A MUST WATCH ON WILDFIRE COVERAGE

One glance and you think lightweight; far from it.

KGO (ABC7) reporter, Stephanie Sierra has been doing spot-on reporting from the Soutbay; one of many regions where a massive fire is taking place. She's been on the scene since day one and done some vigorous live reports.

More than just her {news} packages, she's been great in interviews, back and forths with firefighters, residents who have lost their homes, etc. Real good and worth your time.

  1. Except for when she called it "Caveleras" instead of "Calaveras."

  2. Better than Luz Pena who cannot get her strong Spanish accent away on American TV.

    2. Oh thank goodness. I thought I was the only one who cannot stand Luz Pena. She reminds me of an overexcited yippy puppy. Which would be ok ... if she were actually a canine.

  3. I haven't watched KGO/ABC7 news much. I can only say I think I've seen Stephanie Sierra before. I know I've seen Luz Pena and don't mind, maybe even like, her accent. I suppose I've seen so many "Modern Family" episodes, the accent begins to sound normal.

I have been liking the fire coverage on KTVU and KRON pretty well. I also must say, with a home on the edge of the fire area, the fire coverage hasn't been detailed enough. Perhaps the fires are so plentiful and wide-spread, important evacuation info, especially exactly where the fires are, is lacking. For example, I could see air tankers going below the ridge line, but there was zero news as to where the air drops were actually occurring; and no news the next day.

  4. She can’t hold a candle to Kris Reyes.

  5. I rather like Luz Peña. In the past I hadn't been that impressed with Stepanie Sierra.

  6. Stephanie is starting her own fire at ABC7. It won't be long before we read that the Suits in New York want her for National. Then she can join Dion Lim, Raj Mathai, Terry McSweeney, Kristin Ayers on the list of all the others that were being scouted by Network Honchos

  7. Your title of this post, "Kickin' Ass", is totally appropriate! This morning, Sunday August 23rd, I was watching KGO and there was a piece on one of the fires. Stephanie Sierra was covering it. There was one camera shot, from a slight distance of seemingly about 20ft or so, from behind and to the right of Stephanie, where she was standing there in her super tight jeans, interviewing someone. That camera shot right there, showed her totally beautiful "Kickin Ass". Wow. I am most certainly a fan now! Once again, I am with you, Rich!

  9. Seems to me that for several months now, Sierra has the lead report from the field on any story. She gets it done.

I would also guess that during the fires, it must be nice for her mother to have another pair of eyes out in the 14th district.
