DON'T KNOW what Lisa Argen is trying to say but she's clearly wanting to perform more weather duties at KGO besides Sunday morning --I've been told by a number of Circle7 sources.
Argen is a seasoned weather anchor and in the past preferred the relative solitude of working a one-day shift and filling in. Times have changed. I don't know if she had a change-of-thinking or realized her looks and persona took on a more-gleaming visual--they most certainly have.
One thing Argen could improve on: her dreary speech patter. Probably best to work it up a notch and project some enthusiasm otherwise it's too depressing for my taste. I'm just giving my own two cents.
*Larry Gerston is a must-watch on NBC Bay Area on Sunday; a very informative and crisp and distinctive political analyst who says something real and gives a concise take on both local and national politics.He's openly said on his 10-2PM show that having sports back is not a good look. I agree with him. I can't watch any of it, good lord how thoroughly inappropraite.
When you think so many other on-air personalities are only fit for "the Macy's cosmetics counter in Gilroy" I don't know why you go so gaga over Lisa Argen. She could be the *manager* of that cosmetics counter.

DeleteAs a Sac resident, the few times I'd venture into Bay Area (to run marathons in early morning races), I'd watch her weather forecast on KGO and wonder same as Anon and, of course, Anon ...

DeleteArgen is looking work, heard she needs the money for clothes instead of digging in the bottom of the hamper and finding last weeks nightgown or something that doesn't have a stain that you can see on TV.

ReplyDeleteRich, your right on the mark with both Lisa and Larry. I think she does a good job reporting the weather, but her personality needs to take it up a notch. She wants to do her weather report and be left alone when she's done.She doesn't like to engage with the anchor when she is done. It's weird. Larry is GREAT!!!! He did a break down on Trump this morning that was right on the money. Had Trump heard his comments he would have taken to twitter and would have blasted Larry.

She's like that in the newsroom too. Never talks to anyone, comes in, does her thing, and leaves. She literally was phoning it in even before Covid.
Does Lisa own any clothes other than that one red dress? Maybe she needs a wardrobe budget, maybe a stylist. Whatever it is, it's totally not working as is.
