Jackie Ward, a reporter from KPIX is no longer, that much I know.
Just what has happened is anyone's guess. There's a mystery. Ward's bio has disappeared from the PIX news domain; she's no longer a CBS5 rep. Let go? Fired? Probably all that but a mystery nonetheless.
I have no idea why.
A normally dependable staple of contacts at the Broadway Media gulch are not saying anything about the matter. Some don't know. I will go into spy mode.
Self-inflicted? Fight with management? Possible harassment suit coming? Exact wrong word?
ReplyDeleteThat normally, dependable staple of contacts, are not so dependable after all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking into this, Rich. I was surprised to see Ward's sudden disappearance from PIX's newscasts and other associated media.
ReplyDeleteMystery??? Email her directly
ReplyDeleteI am more interested on why VDLC always is off so much during a news crisis situation and did she give birth especially when she looks like she was indeed pregnant with sudden body fat.
"I am more interested on why VDLC always is off so much during a news crisis situation and did she give birth especially when she looks like she was indeed pregnant with sudden body fat."
DeleteI am struggling to make sense of that sentence.
I think during this"Shelter in Place" we all have gained a few pounds that we wouldn't otherwise.
DeleteJackie Ward is, aka, Jackie Meinhardt. She is now a "Freelance Reporter" with NBCUniversal Media, LLC, whatever that is. Info from Linkedin. Someone with an actual linkedin.com account might find out more. I don't have such an account.
ReplyDeleteI just looked her up and that's all I got and I have a LinkedIn account. She's been there a month. I take this to mean she's at Ch 11 in San Jose freelancing, but a lot of people put it down as the corporate entity (NBCUniversal Media, LLC) to make it sound inflated. I knew someone who was a weekend freelance writer and fill-in producer at KRON back in the NBC affiliate days (she may have been promoted to full-time producer after I left) who later married a rich guy from a tech company and retired to become a "philanthropist." She puts on her bio now that she was an "executive producer at NBC News." Resumes are all about creative lying. BUT...if you're a little person and you have so much as one date wrong in your employment history from ten years ago they fire you. If you're a big shot and the whole resume is a page of lies you're fine. God bless America.
DeleteMaybe she is working for NBCLX....a new digital channel for millennials.
DeleteSame can be said of Anny Hong (a la Robin Winston cat fight) over at KRON4. FOr a few weeks, it seemed like it was all you could talk about.
ReplyDeleteDo tell....
DeleteI love and ADORE Anny Hong ... worship the tp she tosses in the waste...
ReplyDeleteHopefully it was to get lip injections.
