KGO Radio's Pat Thurston Tests Negative for Coronavirus Virus (Audio)
Pat Thurston (pictured) got great news from the doctor today (Tuesday) --the KGO Radio noon-3 PM host tested negative for the Coronavirus disease, Thurston told her listeners on her show.

Thurston has been battling flu-cold-like conditions the past couple days and missed over a week on her KGO program. She returned to the microphone on Monday and is "feeling a lot better."
Thurston, like most of her KGO partners, are broadcasting from their home to protect from the virus' spread.

Yes, she was recently out for a week, but before that she was out for 2 weeks, then back for a week or so, then got sick again. Not sure what she had, but sounded really bad.
ReplyDelete"Coro-Tests for me, but none at all for thee. HaHA!"
ReplyDeleteHow'd she get tested so quick? Our next door neighbor, 104—still vital, lived alone, still went outside and did things—couldn't get one! Sadly, she won't make 105. She died two days ago.
ReplyDeleteIt took her two weeks-plus to get tested --get your facts straight.
DeleteSad, yes but not all is lost. Was she an organ donor?
DeleteI can't stand Justine Waldman of KRON 4. What do you think? Also, why doesn't her husband's surname?....Grant Lodes???
ReplyDeleteHow can you not stand a 'perfect' woman, she certainly is one of those?
DeleteThe Women Are The News...Justine Waldman
The original Grant Lodes was a porn star in the 70s.
DeletePat used, ahem, the olde creative condition complaint. She did NOT fit the criterion for testing but, all of a sudden, became a type 2 diabetic. One would have to really stretch to find this as a qualifying chronic health condition. Then when her results were not coming quickly enough she used the "don't you know how important I am" and had KGO management call the testing company to further spur things on. All of this to take a test instead of someone who needed it. Shame.
ReplyDeleteJust hating for hates sake, huh? She did fit the criteria, Einstein. You Trumpsters are pathetic.
DeleteHow exactly do you know this. I doubt she all of sudden became diabetic, and she certainly didn't all of sudden become over 60. She was out for 2 weeks, said she felt awful, then got better, was back on the air for a week, and then became sick again. Of course she was worried. Have some compassion and providing us with fact for your statement would be helpful. Otherwise you are just like 12:07 says just hating for hates sake.
DeleteSo far near 700 Covid 19 deaths. About 22,000 deaths from influenza this year in the USA. Trump almost makes sense.
ReplyDeleteBut,I stay distant.
Stan- Where can I mail your MAGA hat too?
DeleteIts the cabin fever working on me Lare. I'm human too.
DeleteAs I said before, her hysteria on the the original call-in to discuss her situation was unfounded. Her "outrage" at the situation is misguided. Yes, this is a mess. But her idea is that 'how could this even happen' isn't logical. This is a situation NO ONE has dealt with before - NO ONE was ready for this since it is something that NO ONE could foresee - even the most forward-thinking scientists and virologists. As a situation on this scope. So to get all high and mighty about 'how could we let this happen in the USA' was pure melodrama. Just upset and looking to place blame. Anyway, certainly glad she is feeling better and isn't infected Just wish she would have not stoked fear in people needlessly.
ReplyDeleteBut if it's Savage, Limbaugh or Hannity, no problem?
DeleteRich, I think Trump is off base calling for an Easter deadline on space and shelter at home. We are going to have to tough it out until the infections flatten and head down
ReplyDeleteKGO is doing good work communicating
Rich you are doing an excellent job giving us the facts, keep it up and stay safe
Her ego etc, was enough for me to pass on ever listening to her program again. I know of public safety employee's who did not receive testing as quickly as she did and they didn't create associated medical issues to get to the top of the list. Just another white Marin narcissist.
ReplyDeleteBeing in Hayward not only do I always test negative,I often exceed that and test absolutely negative AND cynical.
ReplyDeleteCity life.
She's a horid grandstaner desperate for attention plus she's just always out sick. She'll do or say anything to try to stay on the air.
ReplyDeleteNo one believed she got the virus she's just too vicious.
Let me enlighten you. Many believed Pat was sick, and she on the air several days with a bad cough. No normal and clear thinking person would fake an illness. Pat has many fans and followers. She is always out sick you say, for someone who seem to detest her, you certainly profess to know a lot about her. In the last month or so she was out with the flu for about 2 weeks, was back on the air, then got sick again.
DeleteDon't throw stones when you live in a glass house, your comments are vicious. Watch out for karma!!

I am glad she is fine but I am not familiar with her. I would assume morning and afternoon listeners are next to nothing these days.
ReplyDeleteYour readers might find Joe Rogan's March 10 podcast interview of Michael Osterholm, an expert in infectious disease epidemiology, very interesting. I'm not sure about your policy in regards to recommending podcasts, but for those people stuck at home, I think this interview can help us understand the seriousness of the situation. For those of you at home, just search Joe Rogan podcast, Michael Osterholm.
