John Rothmann on KGO; Mark Willard on KNBR Dominate Wednesday Night Bay Area Radio on Coronavirus Crisis; Lee Hammer Says Yes

John Rothmann did a whopping 6-hours-plus on KGO but as the Coronavirus crisis worsened and was responsible for the NBA cancelling its season indefinitely, his lengthy time was well worth it and the Bay Area and KGO were fortunate he was at the microphone.

Image result for Mark Willard KNBRNot to be outdone, KNBR's nighttime host, Mark Willard, (6-10 p\PM) was at his studio post when the NBA announced its decision to can the season--at that point, Willard eagerly spouted out total disbelief. It was shocking and was clearly flustered, but in this instance ir was effective radio--Willard, to his credit, was freaking out in a manner that was justified because of what had just transpired. I've been a frequent critic, but not on Wednesday night.

*I'll laugh out loud that Mark Levin was outraged that his time slot was obliterated by a Cal basketball game (which was moved from KGO to KSFO)  --Levin called out KGO PD, Lee Hammer, by name. Good move. Levin is out of line as Hammer was right to make a call out of respect for the Bay Area community.

**Here's the audio of Levin ripping into KSFO and Hammer, (click on very last portion of stream line)

  1. Rothmann should be up for an award for his coverage of this crisis.
