Destination: Miami

Image result for Miami Super Bowl stadium

ALONG WITH TV/RADIO REMOTE SET-UPS--It's been awhile-- 1995 to be exact.

SF-Chiefs Super Bowl 54. Miami, February 2, 2020.

49ers seem to be destined; Kansas City will be formidable but Green Bay, Round Two was supposed to be too and how did that work out?

  2. 49rs are not an SF team. 49rs did nothing about Kaepernick. Boycott NFL and Nike.

    1. Yep...49ers are a Bay Area team, just like the Giants (A's are an East Bay team), Warriors and Sharks. The provincialism of the city works with the restaurants, museums and Golden Gate Bridge, but not with the sports teams. Yes, it would have been nice to keep the Niners in the city, but Jed York did the prudent thing and built in Santa Clara. For 10 games + playoffs, true fans can adjust. And note there were and are a lot more 49er fans in Santa Clara County than Marin County (looking at you, Ann Killion and Brian Murphy).

As for Kaepernick, I have no problem with anything he did, but if he was still the QB, we wouldn't be talking about the Niners in the Super Bowl.

    2. You're as pouty as Kaepernick, 4:42. Kaepernick is long gone from the 49ers; a non-issue during this wonderful time in team history.

Masses will be enjoying the game, and enjoying their lives with nary a concern about Colin Kaepernick or a shoe company, on Super Bowl Sunday.

    3. Kap opted out of his contract. He brought this on, all by himself

    4. Jed York "did the prudent thing?" Total BS. The massive egos of Jed York and Gavin Newsome pushed the Niners to Santa Clara. Neither of those two are worth a damn. Think about it -- if the Niner Stadium was in the Giants parking lot right now, we would be the envy of every big sports-loving city in the country, with all three major venues within walking distance of each other. The Giants do not need a parking lot. There are boats, trains, and Muni to get the fans there. Wrigley Field and Fenway Park have done quite nicely without large parking lots.

  3. Go Niners!

If Joe Buck says "San Fran" one more time... It's San Francisco!

  4. Two great games yesterday! Fortunately I have DirecTV on my phone.

  5. Astonishing that SF Gate online has failed to post on its cover page a headline indicating who won the game and the score.

  6. Tried listening to Poppa and Jughead on the way back from snowboarding yesterday. After about 10 minutes, we switched to the national broadcast on a Sacramento station. It's amazing how amateurish the local guys sound.

    1. That may be true, but I noticed that ESPN runs 49er highlights over the audio bed of Papa's call, so they certainly didn't find his call distasteful

    2. I think tim ryan has become way more of a homer working with papa, don't think he was quite that bad with ted robinson

  7. Expect Ronn Owens to show up at the Super Bowl.
He will boast that he has been a 49er fan all his life.
Ronn will probably be with his favorite mistress.
Maybe a well know brunette, who is a marriage and family therapist.
    We are just wondering.

  8. Excellent work by the 49ers.
They clearly are the best team in the NFL.
    No one is even close.
Their Super Bowl victory will be well earned.

  9. Can't listen to apoplectic Papa; he's as phony as they come. The only bad decision by Jed York the last few years was firing Robinson and hiring the nauseating Papa.

  10. Broadcasters are like scotch. You either like them or you don't. No middle ground.
