| Dion Lim: better but... |
BETTER BUT...
Dion Lim has finally reached the mountain top --granted, it's not Everest --not even close, but she's become far more tolerable and presents herself a lot more enjoyable on KGO (ABC7) as opposed to her initial time on Circle7's weekend news platforms.
There's still mucho issues. (Of course there are)
Dion still has the eternal nasal voice. It's sort of mechanized. I think it's an inflection that reeks of pretentiousness --holy teleprompter, she has to 86 this pathetic, annoying voice contraption --I almost regurgitated twice the other night over my Kellogg's frosted flakes. My god, cannot the Limster improvise a bit? Of course she can, let me guide the USS Lim.
She needs to cut the nostril delivery and become more human and sanitized. Based on her pictures, she obviously likes to laugh and giggle, OK, personality and buoyancy is terrific, well than Dion, quit the holier-than-thou persona on the desk and show us your disposition. You're human. It's cool. Quit the whole robotic shtick and talk to us. It'll be even better than come contract time. And your Q rating will skyrocket and you'll fall in love with a media blogger, wait a minute...

*Saturday ...in the park: PIX staffers on weekend duty have taken to the newly refurbished Washington Square park for lazy reading and sunshine nuance. Maybe a news director can be found?
Pay attention to her eyes and fake expression when Eric or Dan reads off the screen. She should be the morning anchor annoying the heck out of Reggie.

DeleteThe first time I watched her I thought she came across as being VERY ODD. I would watch when Eric Thomas was doing the news, but she ruined it for me. I feel for him.

ReplyDeleteI like Dion Lim too, although as said many times, her voice 'can' at times be irritating. That being said though, she is a total babe! I have seen many live shots where she is on location, in a nice short skirt, and she has legs to die for! Oh, she is a total hottie!
ReplyDeleteWow, Rich -- a couple months ago you wanted Eric Thomas to lighten up and the pairing with Dion seemed to be part of KGO's plan and it worked. And now she seems less stilted in her delivery, so you've actually seen a lot of progress here. Any more change and you won't have "Dion being Dion" ... (Didn't we used to say that about the Deon named Sanders?)
