I'VE NEVER SEEN AN AREA; A MARKET LIKE THIS ONE SPEND SO MUCH TIME ON RAIN
Live shots galore with no actual news. Yeah, it's been awhile since our region has received actual rain but that's it, it's raining. We get periodic rain. I don't know what the fuss is all about, educate me.
IN LA, they get fires and earthquakes like us but they don't open the news at 6 with a live shot from Hollywood and Vine talking about the weather. In New York and Boston they're almost buried in snow but it's hardly news and their likely talking about Impeachment and Trump as opposed to extra snow. They like have to be forced to mention it and that's only after a few blizzards --if that happened here, there'd be a Congressional inquiry.
It rains here. The sun will shine too. There's snow every now and then. It's called life. Wake me (a nd a few others) when there's real weather and when Brian Hackney and Pete Giddings have a beer summit.
Rich... you don't have to commute on rain soaked freeways and bridges every day. You don't have to drop off and pick up kids from school. You don't have to walk your dogs every day. Most people do those things, or at least some of them. That's why there are lots of weather stories when it rains.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Rich lives in a make believe world to normal, working folk.
DeleteThat can be repeated for the following posts as well.
Post this? Not likely.
Sorry Rich -- practically the ONLY local story in New England since right after Thanksgiving has been the snow. Multiple reporters each day since Sunday. And you know why Rich -- weather affects everyone.
ReplyDeleteRich, you clearly haven't seen local news around Calif and the country. They all beat weather to death whether it's big news or not. NBC and the other networks regularly load their shows with weather like its a local newscast. You should watch.
ReplyDeleteKCBS is the worse. Every ten minutes. Really even during the summer when nothing changes
Deleteabd coming up a close second is the coverage of the new Shake Shack fast food place that's supposed to open soon somewhere in the Bay Area.
ReplyDeleteI need to know if the people at the Walnut Creek fountain are handling the rain!
ReplyDeleteHave You Ever Seen The Rain?...Creedence Clr Wtr Revival.
ReplyDeleteWalkin in the Rain w/ the One I Love....Love Unlimited.
The Rain Song....Led Zeppelin.
When the Rain Comes...The Beatles.
All cool songs. The Beatles only titled their rain song Rain. Ringo Starr said the song was the best drumming he ever did in his career. Come Saturday, we will again remember the Beatle that gave us Rain. Still miss John Lennon to this day.
DeleteI always like the "We need Rain Badly" comments followed quickly by "When will the rain end" comments once it starts
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that Hackney was once mentored by Giddings. Bigger difference than ever in presentation between these two. Big advantage to the mentor whose details will forever be unmatched among weather anchors.
