Bloomberg once wanted to Buy KTVU

About ten years ago when KTVU was owned by Cox but it never came about because the FCC had power back then and used it.

It was a story on many fronts; one, just how much KTVU was not only a local success but national too and how its prowess and news reputation was admired.

If KTLA could fetch close to $500M in the late 70's, how much could a mid 2000's KTVU with a network aff and a large following get? Billion? 750M? Staggering figures and a staggering dash on just how much a number could attract a magnate like Michael Bloomberg --it's a lot of money but in Bloomberg's world, not a whole lot.

  1. Now he's trying to buy residency at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

  2. “Buy now or regret later.” That’s a sign I saw outside a shop on the Royal Mile In Edinburgh. Also works as “Sell now or regret later.”

  3. Wish Bloomberg did buy KTVU. Look what the Bay's Channel 2 unleashed because of their strong 10 O'Clock News history - the most vain news network on the planet. And sadly, way too powerful enough to influence a few oaths to be destroyed.

  4. Would it cost more than Young Broadcasting buying KRON????

  5. Many looked into purchasing KTVU. Comparing to KTLA in the 70's is apples and oranges.

  6. It would be better if he bought the whole "Fox News" and buried it.
