NO SOONER THAN MY APPRECIATION for Kumasi Aaron appears --the KGO anchor is promoted; she'll anchor weekday mornings and contribute to ABC7's midday content. That's a fast and abrupt detour from the weekends for weekdays; good for Ms. Aaron and those who like her work, only thing sour: she has to co-anchor with that dope, Reggie Aqui.

*At KGO Radio, Mark Thompson is FEUDING (behind the scenes) with management; he's royally pissed off that Ronn Owens --(who used to be his buddy) has been, again, bugging the suits that should Thompson be shown the door, Ronn  is ready and willing to go back to the 10-Noon gig. Swell and loyal guy that Ronnnnn is, eh? Only one thing: KGO has NO intention of firing the boring Thompson just yet; word is the ratings-challenged Thompson show will be given a year (until March, 2020) to either sink or swim. It's SINKING quite rapidly now. Have you listened to this dreck?

Just this (Monday) morning, Thompson had to rely on boring Bret Burkhart --his news guy for support. Thompson couldn't do a show solo if his life depended on it. Furthermore, he has to play actuality from other shows just to lay out a topic and it's painfully lazy radio. Thompson is basically a tool; a dork really. There's zero thought process to topics; there's NO chemistry whatsoever with dull Burkhart and Thompson doesn't take calls, probably because no one is interested in listening to this schmuck on radio with all the gravitas of a Concord whorehouse.

Darya Folsom at KRON: show me the money! Not.

*WILL DARYA BE DEPARTING? The big gossip at KRON deals with super yenta, Darya Folsom, who is complaining despite her popularity there, hasn't received a raise in years and has threatened to jump ship. Only one problem: Folsom isn't getting any younger and her kinship with a certain management guy would require domestic lifestyle change. My bet is Countess Darya will have to chug down one less margarita and be forever KRON which is about right.

*More Ronn hangin' on via John Rothmann: I appreciate Rothmann, who did a six-hour shift on Friday (subbing for Chip Franklin) but chatting with Ronn Owens is embarrassing. Owens has nothing left in the tank and is literally just hanging around so he has something to do and can get out of the house. Worse, Owens doesn't say anything interesting anymore and when he does, it's your basic, banal radio commentary that doesn't excite nor move any needle. His "Ronn Owens Report" is a joke. Who listens to this tripe? Travel agents in Danville who comp Ronn ocean cruises so he can take his girlfriend on sea voyages, what a TRUE ABOMINATION!

*GOD, I'M IRRITATED, THIS! AGAIN: the 49ers are still unbeaten and probably headed to the playoffs. Great. The un-great: the self-parading news hacks who are now on the TV News channels and radio shows saying, "Go Niners!" --as if they knew a 49er from a plumber. It's TRITE, it's PHONY; it is all-around disingenuous --about as sincere as a Salinas strip mall. Please, just all of 'yous? SHUT UP!

*I'm NOT shocked KPIX live shots are almost all TAPED. Because they have no real reporters over there who simply can't ad-lib. It's that simple. Just utter mismanagement all over the place and tremendous discontent. A good ND would rally the troops and start over but at PIX it's all laziness and a bunch of rank amateurs.

*Yeah, Damon Bruce is pissed because he's saddled with a veteran retread and a former Uber driver from KNBR because the truth hurts: Bruce CANNOT carry a show alone on the FM Sports radio show and is only relevant because his new wife finances his misery and discomfort. He should look at advertising gigs in Des Moines.

*BREAKING NEWS: Greg Papa asked his son, Deric, "how's my new 49ers' call?
