Larry Magid is indeed OUT at KCBS; his last broadcast was Oct. 4 and for reasons unknown.
I'll go out on a limb and say it was money. CBS likes to trim and slim down and I'm sure Magid was an easy choice here no matter if he was making relative peanuts--he was not but just enough to warrant his compensation as chop-worthy.
Magid was a keen observer on the tech industry and his reports, especially his reviews on the latest iPhone, were very much spot-on. I also liked his dry sense of humor.
He'll be missed.
I always enjoyed his segments. He does have a website, Larrysworld.com and he does a one minute weekday podcast "Eye On Tech" for CBS radio. Link to the podcast is available on his website.
