A KTVU spy tells me, anchor, Alyana Gomez is LEAVING the Fox O and O Bay Area station and is headed for the Seattle Fox station.
She will have not only anchor duties but I'VE learned, a special "Managing Editor" Position. Big time stuff.

Wow! This is certainly shocking. I never warmed up to her. Always found her sophomoric but I do admit she appeared more serious and professional after giving birth. I wonder what this move will do for Gasia, Heather and Julie’s ambitions for the top anchor desks at ktvu
ReplyDeletewhy would this be "shocking"? 99.9% of all careers in tv news involve moving from one market to the next. Seattle is a great TV market and a wonderful city.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Alyana G. I always looked forward to seeing her, whether anchoring or field reporting. This should be a good career move for her. Who knows? She seems fairly young and maybe she'll return to the SFBayArea someday, but only if it'll be a good move, either personally or professionally.
DeleteYou must have missed her very sophomoric flubs live on air. The worst was when working alongside ken wayne one night she was making goofy stupid faces while reading the teleprompter while video ran and unexpectedly the camera switched to her and she looked extremely embarrassed. Seattle is a great city hopefully she has grown up.
DeleteShe was WAY BETTER then that Keba Arnold chick.
ReplyDeleteMerry go round at Fox 2
OMG
In addition to being a solid GA Reporter Alyana has been co-anchoring the KTVU Channel 2 Friday & Saturday evening newscasts along with Andre Senior since Jan 2018. Both have good chemistry together in addition to Ms. Gomez being a very attractive looking woman. I wonder who will replace Alyana as co-anchor on Friday & Saturday KTVU evening newscasts. I nominate Christina Rendon who has both beauty & brains along with being a very solid reporter to boot. I absolutely love reading your blog Rich!! Cary SF
ReplyDeleteThey have Mexicans in Seattle?
ReplyDeletePhU!

ReplyDeleteSi...just as they have dumbf*ck Trumptards (like yourself) here in the Bay Area.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule of chanting "puto" at soccer and baseball games to comment on Rich's blog. Oh wait, "gracias".
DeleteSeattle is much better TV market...KTVU blew it with this talented beauty. Under utilized and disrespected far too long!
ReplyDeleteShe will join former KTVU anchor/reporter Brian Flores at that station. They would make a great anchoring team.
ReplyDeleteSEATTLE IS A SHITBOX, in some cases worse than SF
ReplyDeleteI bet her husband found a job in Seattle forcing her to leave. Most reporters (female) relocate because the husband job is the main priority like Alexis Smith. Good News!! I didn't like her from Day 1

ReplyDeleteThanks you for taking a moment from stepping away from your Cross-Burning...ERRR..."Trump Rally"...to respond to my initial comment.
Yawn, who is she?
ReplyDeleteShe is / has been nothing more than a person who reads the news with proficiency. A dime a dozen for many broadcasters. Nothing friendly about her on air attitude and never smiles. No personality. There are certain times when a political analyst is a guest on the news set and her leftist bias has been clearly evident by the questions she asks. Dennis Richmond would never do that nor did Ken Wayne.
ReplyDeleteBummer
