GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS HAS GUYS GUYS GUYS FED UP AT KCBS
Talk about a sexual revolution; at KCBS, the preponderance of women anchors, reporters, traffic people has some influential guys un in arms; how much so? The News Director, another woman, Jennifer had to call a secret meet and told the men to please be cool and respect the dames. Or something of that nature which went off like a lead balloon --none of the dudes were happy and some were even more pissed off after they ventured back outside.
MAKING MATTERS WORSE? Upon exiting the KCBS conference room, the guys ran smack into none other than #1 broad herself, Megan Goldsby, who many view as enemy #1. Goldsby gets all the plum assignments; has number 1 picking board on story count; is now both anchoring, street reporter and gets to pitch her own stories, And just who is the MAJOR irritant in all this chick power inertia? none other than Jeffrey Schaub, the former KPIX reject who migrated to radio, had a second thought about going back to TV but subsequently stayed at KCBS because he didn't have any other choice and he's damn lucky Seelig puts up with him.
*I'M TO BELIEVE that KCBS political reporter, Doug Sovern is gold-standard status when in reality he's more like the prize in the bottom of a box of cracker jacks. Can you say: OVERATED! The only guy I know that thinks Sovern is the best thing since sliced bread is Gov. Gavin Newsom who has hand-picked Sovern as his #-1 teacher's pet. If you've heard Newsom's toying with Dougy Howser, you get my drift.
*I'm still waiting for that comprehensive sit-down interview with Mayor London Breed but so far my wait has exceeded from spring into late Summer. Is Breed hard to corner or are the journalists in this city just afraid to confront her? I'd choose the latter.

*Darya Folsom had a bad dream the other night; a nightmare really. She awoke having wet dreams involving Will Tran in a leather speedo. Woo! As an aside, there were no hot dogs in the dream.

Speaking of broads at KCBS, did Jan Wahl and KCBS part ways? Did KRON lure her back with a Hot Link and a fucken Slurpee?

ReplyDeleteSo, according to Rich, KCBS has too many women with jobs. For many decades, there were few women on the air. Are there more women than men on KCBS? If so, good.

The story is about a lot of women having on air jobs at KCBS.This somehow signifies to the small handed, insecure male types, the end of the world.The idea of equality is that the best on air person should have the job..If they are all women, what's your problem? DeleteYou forgot to include Pam Cook in the zero fashion sense gals. I know she's on early in the morning when no one is watching but gee whiz at least she could get a fashion consultant to help her. (They have them at Macy's). But then again like Paulsen,maybe they don't make enough $$$.
ReplyDeleteForget Ama's wardrobe. The ABC 7 morning show has gone from bad to worse. I thought I disliked Natasha, but the new "newsreader" Kumasi is even more intolerable, especially when paired with the two pinheads, Reggie and Mike Nicco. Barf. Zero talent on board.

ReplyDeleteOne thing I notice about KGO 7 reporters, they are pretty movie saver or known as "cheap". For Ama, I notice she still uses her old old iPhone including Dion Lim, former Jessica Castro and KPIX Betty Yu. They are reporters, but shouldn't they all be modernize. For Ama, money must be an issue as a newly wed, baby and mortgages or she was born to be saving money. For Dion, if you look at her family picts and where she is from, we already got an answer knowing why.
ReplyDelete@5:51, Wow, first it's their lack of fashion sense, which Heather Holmes does get first prize for, but now they're considered cheapskates because they don't have the newest & bestest iPhones. Who cares!?? Does that somehow make them less of a person because their phones are super-old? I just upgraded my 5-year-old phone to last year's model even though I can afford this year's -- in cash! My choice. Again, Who cares!?? That is nobody's business! Some people aren't as materialistic as you sound to be.

ReplyDeleteThe only credit I give Darya Folsom is that she does have "some" fashion sense, although Laura Garcia is the best among the markets Dress for Less lady anchors. ABC7's ladies are so lame. Kristen Sze wears the exact same three granny outfits (she could be almost decent to look at if she had an ounce of fashion sense!) every week. Her granny outfits and annoying granny cackle are just too much to watch. It was funny for a minute but now...I just can't.
