MORE THAN AN INNOCENT SELFIE?She (Amy G, Larry Baer's good-luck charm) was spotted with Mister T (Tom Tolbert; KNBR 3-7 PM) the other night after Giants' game versus Dodgers; they were not discussing batting averages.
She likes beer.
He does too.
She loves deep adventures.
He has this down pat.
She yearns for admiration and respect.
He is the common man.
They're both married, so what.
Love is in the air.
Oh no! Please say that Tolbert only posed just to please his bosses! Please say they are not leaving their significant others! And Please say that no matter what Baer's future holds, if the new Giants GM has built his own support base, and they want her gone, it will happen! BTW, I first think of Tolbert as a former Steve Kerr teammate, then ex-Warrior player, then KNBR personality. The Real Kerr - not the RL blogger on here - and his team have a solid sideline reporter, and Kerith would eat Amy G and spit her out; that's how big the disparity is in on air talent (lots v zero).

ReplyDeleteThe main problem with Amy is not her squeaky voice and most of the time has nothing to say in her broadcasts but that she takes away from game action. I guess the guys in the truck can't figure out how to split-screen her with the game itself. They try split screen for 2 sec. or so then get nervous and go back solely on Amy. So distracting the viewer can't follow either one. A mess!

ReplyDeleteAmy has been covering the SF Giants for sometime now. But for whatever reason, she hasn't improved her craft. I'm convinced that her fate is tied to Larry Baer. It's been said that the more you work on your craft,the better you become at it. Amy just doesn't have it. Sorry to say.
