Mindi Bach
GIGGLE --CACKLE --GIGGLE --CACKLE; Just what the hell was Mindi Bach's MO after the Warriors' win over LAC in Game 4 of the NBA Western Conf. First Round playoffs? Chirpy Mindi of KGO-TV was well out of her place. She sounded and acted like a high-school cheerleader at a girlie party.

I UNDERSTAND enthusiasm and glee; I like a little personality potpourri --I DON'T LIKE GIGGLE GIGGLE, which Bach resorted to when interviewing various Warrior players after the game.

An astounding embarrassment. The epitome of asininity.

  1. She's been studying under Kristen Sze at ABC7

  2. She did the exact same thing when I saw her at Mountain Mike’s in Rohnert Park, pointing towards the bathroom and giggling, saying “TeeHeeHee...KaKa.”

  3. So she was enthusiastic and stoked that the Warriors are playing well. IF a male sportscaster had been just as enthusiastic and stoked, you would not have minded in the least. What substantive error did she make? When a male sportscaster laughs in delight, do you call that a "giggle"?

  4. I used to work at Ch 7. If you ever saw her in a pair of tight jeans, all would be forgiven.

  5. She was inches away from Klay Thompson. Figure it out.

  6. GD local sports media so biased it's not even funny. Neutrality by the wayside. Sports talking zombies getting brainwashed by the teams. It's happening in the newspapers thanks to Hank Shrillman, who also does PR for Los Gigantes on the side. The sports department is the toy chest of a news operation, but the way people are in this market is downright sickening.

  7. Perhaps even more asinine: Uncle Vern Glenn dressed in a full bunny suit, on-air at the anchor desk.

  8. Didn't catch the segment referred to in Rich's post but I've always considered her to be one of the most, if not the most, professional sports anchor/reporter in our area. Always wondered why she wasn't hired away by ESPN years ago.

  9. The sports segment should be represented by a male anchor. Mindi is boring to watch and Andrea Nakako on KPIX is worse. Why can't they promote Rick Quan on KGO?
