HER PRESENCE AT KGO has become the talk of the newsroom. She skillfully delivered Firestorm reports live from Calistoga and Napa on a moments notice (she was sent at the last minute) --needless to say, she was the human "IT" factor.
"IT" is ABC7 GSA Reporter, Lonni Rivera and needless to say ...and SEE!, Ms. Rivera is a sight to behold as well.
A senior KGO staffer:
"she definitely has this aura --she's s damn good reporter too, which in this market says something."
Rivera does well what I like best: fast and furious with information; no BS; straightforward delivery and verbal bandit extraordinaire. She is a force to be reckoned with and good golly, do we ever need it here.
I'm not just a believer in Madame Rivera, I'm an advocate too because I know a STAR when I see on and boy do I see one here.
Hey, KGO: Lonni is part time, a freelancer. STOP, get her on FULLTIME basis and send her out, everywhere. She's a BIG TIMER.

ReplyDeleteIf you are a reporter, in a major market, presumably you would be able to report on breaking stories "at a moment's notice". This is a basic job requirement, not something to find extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteYolanda Riivera is an outstanding reporter. She has been for over a decade. By complimenting one for their work does not take away from another in the same profession. This particular article is concerning Ms. Rivera, who is over the 30´s. Of course, every job has basic requirements. But, what makes a person unique is how skills are carried out.
