Black Rock Sends Secret High-Level Execs To SF To Observe KPIX; 'Pissed Off' at Station Direction; CBS Wants Better Performance; 'Not Just The Ratings; 415 Media Exclusive

Image result for Important meeting executives  KPIX was inundated this {Wednesday} afternoon by a group of High-Level execs from CBS NY...a meeting so SECRET that even the highest level PIX exec at 855 Battery didn't even know they were there; OH, but 415 MEDIA got wind of the SECRET Conference ...and word is the NY execs were ROYALLY PISSED OFF at the pace and direction of its Bay Area O and O (Owned and Operated Station) News Operation.

A 415 Media source tipped me that "basically NY is unhappy with the performance of its SF station. They want more and expect more. It's not just the ratings; it's how the station is being run and directed and they're just a little pissed--they wouldn't have done this if they approved of KPIX's direction."

Or Lack of One.

Nobody was willing to talk on the record of course but it's believed the meeting was held off the KPIX premises and that the suits were given the latest internal memos sent to staff. A REVIEW by CBS O and O/affiliates HR is expected as a result of the secret SF meeting.

No one at CBS-SF was aware of the staff meeting. No wonder. That's the way it was intended!

Until Now.

    1. Phil Matier is definitely the best anchor they have. Too bad they don't give him more air time than 1 hour on Sunday morning!

  2. Rosenheim is way past his prime; time for him to go. I defer to Rich on morning staff and production crew plus a few reporters here and there.

  5. CBS hold those meeting off-site because the inmates have hidden shanks, and stabby things all around the KPIX jailyard...just in case of a inmate uprising or riot.

  11. Want to improve the News (all channels), quit telling me to download your app's. It's getting as bad as Cars for Kids or The Pillow guy. I already know I can download your app's, the whole Bay area knows and probably a large part of the World knows!

The channel who keeps telling me to "expect more," I'm waiting.

  13. I actually like Channel 5 news at 5 and 6.Yeah- the anchors and weather guy ( He reminds me of the guy in the animated Honda ads from a few years ago LOL) don't seem to get a long. But I like the news. I especially like the Matier dispatches. I guess I'm in the minority. To me KTVU at 5 and 6 are boring. KNTV is southbay and boring- although I do turn over to KNTV for Nightly News with Lester- then back to 5. KRON is well KRON. ABC7 is ok I guess. I like it at 9PM. I just have never watched Channel 7 most of my life and has never been on my radar.
