I remember when I gave Ray Ratto his very first TV show, hosting "Cooking With Slappy", here at our local station in Santa Rosa. But 2 weeks in, after he ate the food budget for the year, I had to let him go. Look where he is now.

    1. Remember when his sweaters caused the technicians watching monitors to have epileptic seizures? Ah,those were fun days!

  2. Rich, Cumulus is a for profit, employees are free to leave. Do better options exist? No, that's why they stay

    1. They're for profit? Obviously not working out.

  3. Oh they'll be fine and end up working at KCBS traffic like everyone else seems to be.

    1. How did Joe Hughes get hired for traffic on KCBS? Has he gone through puberty yet? He sounds like a ten year old kid

  4. Don't care about KNBR or right-wing crap KSFO, but hope the Cloud sells KGO and KFOG and restore it somewhat to their former selves. Those were my go to stations for over 25 years.

  5. ethan bearman is going to be on our station for 6 hours every day. it is officially over. i knew it was over a long time ago but when i heard that i realized just how bad it is. i guess the only chance any of us have is to learn spanish at this point.

    1. Ta-Tuesday and Dirty Friday? Right in Cumulus wheelhouse. Tits, ass and rock n' roll. Those local legends are going nowhere, unless they stick with Sully's successor, Chasta or Shasta, who's just pain to my ears.

  7. KGO could probably command a large price for an operator with an eye towards "illegal alien radio". 50-KW? Si! Bueno!

  8. Berman gets a show and a half per day on what used to be KGO because we the people must be in need of a spanking. Whats next... bath time with the Chipster?? This is about as welcome as a fart in a space suit but not quite as bad as a case dysentary from a Stockton tico's-taco.

  9. I'm guessing the biggest issue is debt. It isn't like their budgets are that bloated at this point, or that axing a big name or two would make a difference.

  10. I don't think anything can help KNBR, except for releasing Gary Radnich, and revamping the lineup. Ray Woodson and Tom Tolbert are reliable. I think the Murph without Mac is salvageable.

  11. I agree Rat Woodson and Tom Tolbert are the best of the whole bunch.

    1. Woodson is a snore-fest. Nothing original, anything he brings to the show has come from newpaper clippings, the same ones his listeners see. 12 hours of Marty is more interesting than Woodson.

  12. The guy with Tolbert is horrible, wish Tolbert could asked a question to his guests under a 1000 words.
