415 Media --Running on Fumes; A Short Little Story

Related image Forgive me as I've been running on fumes lately, a certifiable wreck --an emotional yutz who should know better by now. Life isn't fair and will always dish out ultimate challenges when you least expect it.

To wit:

I don't like to talk about my personal life even though some of you think I do.

Mother was beset with a very serious leg infection over a week ago and had to be hospitalized. Fortunately, she is on the mend and has since been released from the hospital and I'm taking care of her at home...as I usually do. She's 94 but I swear if you could see her, you'd be amazed. She looks pretty damn good.

Meanwhile, I've been a wreck. I'm not good at this as you can see and read --for the time being and God willing, I'll get back to blogging 415 Media. Some of you are happy. Some of you don't care. The booster club is ecstatic --those that can't stand me are probably indifferent. Look, lately I can't stand myself. Misery loves company.

So, back to business. You still want to read me and enjoy the ins and out of Bay Area TV/Radio, I'm going back to writing, again, God willing, and the continued improvement of a tough, Brooklyn woman.

I'm still on financial fumes too so if you can donate to my site --(and any dollar amount is appreciated and needed) I'll be grateful and be able to continue to keep you up to date on 415 Media and write the material you've grown to appreciate (and some of you, dread too). You can make a safe and secure donation by clicking on the Pay Pal icon on the right side of the blog.

Those of you that have made donations and subscribed I Thank You for without you, 415 Media is kaput.

Finally, I want to Thank You all who have taken the time to write, e-mail, text and show your concern about Mom--You don't know how much it helps. Mom thanks you too.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving to all you and your family.

We'll see you back on Wednesday.

  8. I'm sorry to hear about your mom and hope she heals completely. You have to be very careful about infections with elderly people as it can lead to delirium.

  10. Happy Thanksgiving Rich and happy to hear your mom is on the mend.

94, I doubt you realized the shaking of the ground that little tidbit of information caused among the Gasia's and Gary's of the world. A collective "Rich isn't going away - ever...." surely ran through the tiny minds of those of that ilk. Their only hope now is people will continue to visit this treasure of local content yet can't seem to muster the energy to make a quick PayPal donation to you. I've pledged my membership for the next few years and will continue to climb my way up the donation ladder this holiday season. There's noting else out here like this and beyond the fun of reading the content - it keeps both the media outlets as well as its "talent" honest. Hard to use the word Talent and think of a Rod Brooks as it's a bit of an oxymoron, but you get my drift.
