Breaking: Alexis Smith Headed To KGO-TV As New Traffic Anchor; KIRO/Seattle Reporter Will Replace Sue Hall; Another 415 Media Exclu

Alexis Smith
THIS is Alexis Smith, your new morning Traffic anchor headed for KGO-TV (ABC7) in June July, 415 Media has learned, exclusively.

Smith comes to the Bay Area from KIRO, Seattle, where she's reported since 2013 --she will assume the duties of Sue Hall, who is manning the ship on KGO only temporarily until Smith is ready to go and report on big rigs backed up on 880.

Sue Hall
Yes, Smith is blond, young, and really darn perky too--all that befits current morning female traffic personality traits. Can't wait for the show to begin.

    2. Amen 1:13. Let's get people in here who can do the job and do it well. Not hire them based on the color of their skin or number of coyotoes their parents hired to come here.

    3. Went to go watch some Alexis Smith clips on Youtube. God...she's dumber than a bag of rocks. No wonder white people get passed up on jobs. It's dumb bitches like her.

  6. Sal start packing and dust off your resume. KTVU will soon hire a good looking female to replace you.

  7. She has a famous name. Wonder if there's a connection? Alexis Smith appeared in several major Hollywood movies in the 1940s and had a notable career on Broadway. She worked with Errol Flynn in four movies and was his leading actress in three.

  8. I think this is the 2nd time Sue Hall has received the shaft from KGO first time shame on you second time shame on me. I truly believe she is being discriminated against due to her being over 50. Haven't watched since those 2 dum dums have taken over. Wish you well in the future Sue Hall in KGO comes calling a 3rd time, have some pride and tell them to go kick rocks.

  9. George Rask did the morning traffic reports on PIX for two or three mornings. Haven't seen him since. Still the best at what he does. What's happening here?

    2. George is just a fill-in at KPIX for the time being but he'd be the ideal replacement

  11. Keep Sue Hall!

  12. Sue Hall is terrible at relaying traffic information. By chance I flipped across KGO and heard her stumble for the right words...finally just referring to the Caldecott Tunnel as "The Tunnel." Maybe she hadn't had her coffee fix but traffic reporters shouldn't struggle when it comes to landmarks. Hall's presentation and info was terrible 3/10. This new hire will fare much better AFTER a month of miss-pronunciations that is!

  13. I only have the highest respect for Sue Hall. Sue will work almost any gig she can get to support her merged family and is a hard working pro.

At one time I thought there were two Sue Halls she worked so many gigs. Sue is happy being backup for KGO and last time I talked with her she was getting up in the middle of the night to do the traffic gig - I don't think she wanted it forever but was thrust into it when Leyla got bounced. I hope the new gal is better than snotty Leyla was.

I think all of us will see Sue on the radio regardless of what KGO does. I must wonder what Donnie and Marie will be doing when they are past 50? Probably the on line news at Dell Web's Sun City Lincoln Hills near Sacto...

  14. Where did you get that pic of Sue Hall, Rich?
It is nothing like the real thing.
Just another case of age discrimination from KGO.
    Young and pretty rules.

  15. Son of a bitch! I need reading glasses... Thought Alex Smith left NFL to get a new gig.

  17. They got it right when they let Leyla Gulen go and hire Sue Hall. Just heard this Alexis Smith for a few minutes this morning. Can not stand her voice. Keep Sue Hall she is good and very likable and you can relate to her.

  18. I thought I was being too critical. But, her voice is horrible. The on camera news talent should not distract from conveying the news. I hit the mute.

  19. 3+ years later, I just heard Alexis Smith is/was gone from KGO-TV and living in Seattle area. I originally thought she was just out on maternity leave but is completely gone from KGO's website with a mention by Reggie Aqui today on the mid-day news.
