Trump Supporter Michael Savage Critical of Trump's Anti-Muslim Statement; Powerful National Radio Figure Calls Trump Remark 'Fatal' to Candidacy

Michael Savage, the Bay Area-based radio talk show host and supporter of GOP Presidential contender, Donald Trump, said on his national show Tuesday that Trump's controversial remarks about Muslims "would be fatal" to Trump's run at the Presidency.

"Do I agree with his (Trump) statement--that's not the issue--I do believe what he said was fatal and that it would cost him because the 'middle of the road' voters would not vote for him," said Savage.

Savage, who has interviewed Trump numerous times, said that, "although I will still vote for him I do believe his statement on Muslims is not something I would have said."

Savage is the second most-listened-to national radio host in the country behind Rush Limbaugh and has authored numerous books on politics and has a current best-seller.

  1. Get a grip, "middle-of-road" voters were NEVER going to vote for him...at most, he can get maybe 20% nationally in a general election, that's it...

Very well said, Rich. I will endorse & support anything Dr. Savage says or believes in. We shall stand alone. And as for the Christine LibTards who blame everyone but themselves for the woes of the world, they can kiss my ass...ASS!!!!

    1. It seems I often read comments on this blog, that contains the sentences "kiss my ass"...ASS, can't you come up with a better vocabulary? As for your statement "you will support and endorse anything Dr. Savage believes in" not much of an independent thinker are you? I would venture to say that Savage himself would be the first to say, don't blindly follow ANYONE.

    2. "I will endorse & support anything Dr. Savage says or believes in."

Classic example of a ditto head. Oh well, there will always be people (on the left, right, or in the center) who let others think for them.

    3. The sarcasm went right over both of their heads. I really hope one of them isn't the KGO fill in talker.

  3. This is all part of Savage's shtick. Since everyone's expecting Savage to laud Trump, Savage then does the unexpected and criticizes him. It's all part of provocative radio and why Savage dominates the medium.

  4. Only the simple minded give a shit about what Savage thinks.

  5. I stand even more strongly with Trump. He knows how we have to defend ourselves, when the vast majority of soft-headed PC fools would put the red carpet out for those who despise us and wish us to cease.

  6. TRUMP IN 2016. He is right on this, he said until the White House and LOW LIFE OBAMA gets it's act together, he wants to stop new muslims from coming into the US. Wow, what is wrong with that? This is our country, not theirs. We need to let POLITIAL CORRECTNESS die now and start taking care of our country or it will be lost. Like him or not, Trump is right.

    1. You're right, it is ours. After we took it from the Native-Americans and Spaniards that were here first.

  8. Bay Area O-Bots. Please choose your clothing carefully so that you will be appropriately attired at the Donald Trump Inaugeration in January 0f 2017. Proper attire means no tank tops, no low-rider Levis, and (sorry) no Whoopie Goldberg type dusty dredlocks.
Democrats will be expected to behave as adult ladies and gentlemen. No hooting, hissing or harumping during The Donald's acceptance speech. Do this, and you will be quickly escorted to your car, embarrassed in front of all those gloating Tea Partiers.

    1. By escorted to their cars do you mean the closest bus stop?

  9. @7:57, the irony of your post -- take care or the country will be lost -- seems to be lost on you; we "lose our country" when we start behaving like a fascist regime. We "lose our country" when we forget that we are a country of immigrants of mixed religion. The day we start implementing a litmus test on ones' religious background as a condition of entry to the country, is the day we "lose our country" and become like Germany in 1940.

  10. You could tell Savage was hesitant to say what he said. He was very measured and didn't say it until the second hour. Don't fret Trump-heads, Alex Jones is still fully behind Trump. The dream of a neo-Mussolini is still alive!

I love Democrats. They always look the other way as long as I keep voting them in power.

  12. I find it unfathomable, what with the shrinking middle class and income disparity, that people are following the biggest, unabashed one-percenter of all the one-percenters in the presidential race. Trump doesn't care about the masses. He's just telling people what they want to hear in the loud but generally vague package. I'll give him this - he's a master marketer and people are buying it. As any good liar knows, the simpler the lie, the better.

  13. Mr Trump needs to learn how to keep his big mouth shut.
Or at least learn how to inject his views in a more rationale manner.
He is risking losing all the momentum he has built up.
